Can my Core I5 laptop run skyrim, with mods?
Vodka is right. At all costs avoid buying anything featuring Intel HD Graphics. My old ATi Radeon 9600 PRO (OLD OLD VIDEO CARD) would probably beat any intel graphics system ( It really is that bad). Go with an ATI Radeon HD video system. Laptops are not really made for gaming unless you buy a high-end machine (like an Alienware). Make sure it has a good amount of dedicated video memory (like around 1GB). Check out the GPU and Video memory clock speeds (frequency) and make sure you get the one with the highest number that you can afford. The CPU in that laptop should be fine, but the graphics system is a total no go. It may run it, but it will be crappy.

I have a pretty basic laptop, and I can run it on there. Granted, it’s laggy as hell and it runs on the lowest graphical settings, but I can still technically play it on this few year old laptop. It just depends on the model you have, but if my crummy one can play it, yours probably can too.

“Gaming” and “laptop” are traditionally not words that go well together. Good gaming laptops are prohibitively expensive. And when games evolve over the next few years, desktops can be upgraded for relatively cheap.With that in mind. When you buy a laptop, buy all the laptop you can afford. Don't cheap out on specs if you can afford it. Future upgrades are usually limited to a a little more RAM, which will be more expensive for the laptop sized sticks.If you can manage a solid state drive, I think these games would benefit greatly from it. You'll see load times drop to almost zero.
I can't run in Skyrim.?
So I walk into Solitude, and suddenly I can't run anymore, I just walk really slow everywhere. I'm not over-encumbered, I'm way below the weight limit. I've tried pressing sprint (I'm on PC), but I still walk. Wtf?
