Is it weird to play an old game (2008-2013) when your PC is really good?

An "old" game - defined as having been released between 2008-2013? Kids these days, no appreciation for the classics…This definition considers games released in 2007 as "older than old". 2007 was a banner year for games, seeing the release of Portal, Bioshock, Team Fortress 2, The Witcher, Assassin's Creed, Command & Conquer 3, and Half-Life 2: Episode 2....Well, okay, that last one does kind of make it seem ages ago.Games considered on the far end of merely "old" by this definition include Mirror's Edge, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Dead Space, Batman: Arkham Asylum, League of Legends, Borderlands, Mass Effect 2, and StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty. On the younger end of "old", you have games like Dark Souls, The Last of Us, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.Speaking of StarCraft, it's telling that Blizzard plans to release a remastered version of the original StarCraft game in August 2017. It appears to use the same basic assets and gameplay as the 1998 original, though retouched to give more graphics detail. So much for it being "weird" to play old games on new machines: Blizzard apparently disagrees. And speaking of 1998, that was another banner year for games, seeing the release of some real landmark games. In addition to the original StarCraft and its Brood War expansion, some highlights include the original Half-Life, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Now, granted, these are (except for StarCraft and Half-Life) all console games, but it's hard to overstate how influential these were....Is it weird to play old games on new computers... Young whippersnappers, I tell ya...(Final Fantasy 7 released January 31, 1997)

Surgery: Any tips from current surgeons on how medical students can enhance their dexterity and hand eye co-ordination outside of the clinical environment?

I don't think this has been mentioned yet: eat with chopsticks. And if you already eat with them, use your non-dominant hand!once you get loupes, eat with those on and with chopsticks. This is handy for ophthalmology/ plastics.Once you get good at two hand and one hand knots, use a needle driver to tie instrument ties and then start suturing with your non-dominant hand. For microsurgery, I spent hours suturing grapes, bananas, oranges and gloves (different consistencies and textures). Bonus points if you can anastomose  two different gloves and have that be water-tight (possible with parachute). For strabismus surgery practice: pass a spatulated  needle partial thickness through an index card, without going through to the other side.Practice makes perfect, hours in the wetlab will be key, or if you have the laparascopic training set - use it to write notes, run a fake bowel and a variety of tasks you wouldn't normally do through ports!

What is your PC specs and which games do you play?

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (six-core)MB: MSI B350M Gaming ProRAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3200MHzGPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080 (MSI Armor OC)PSU: SeaSonic Focus+, fully modular, 750WCase: Fractal Design Define R5Storage: Samsung 256GB NVMe SSD, Western Digital 4TB HDDI was hoping to finally play Carmageddon II with good framerate, but no luck.I guess I’ll wait another 20 years, hopefully technology will have evolved enough by then!Until that time comes, I’ll stick to Quake 2, Duke Nukem 3D and Star Wars Episode 1: Racer.(a bit more seriously: I mostly play League of Legends and GTA 5, but it was nice having a good PC for the campaigns of DooM 2016 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and I intend to replay The Witcher 3 too, because my last play-through was on a potato PC with everything on “low”, and that takes away half of the fun of that game)
