Can I Still Use My Capital One Credit Card Even Though Its Low On Cash But I Have Direct Deposit

Do Capital One Platinum credit cards come with a PIN number?

You have to call and request a pin number.
It will be sent to you by mail
(this is for a credit card - not a debit card)

It is rare that people require a pin number for a credit card
Usually they need it for a cash advance.
You never, ever want to touch cash advances
^ This is a recipe for financial disaster
Their interest rates are higher, the limits are lower, and you have no grace period so you can avoid interest. Also there are flat fees for cash advances.
I don't have pins for any of my credit cards - you don't need them
----
What do you mean by too risky?
Debit cards can be run as credit without a 4 digit pin
Most of them (almost all debit cards) have the visa/mc logo on them
They can all be run as credit without requiring a 4 digit pin

Can I transfer money from credit card to debit card?

Credit Card’s are supposed to be used for making the payment for Goods Or Service. If you want to use it for taking cash out, you can use the balance transfer facility from the bank. It will cost you something around 4–5%.If you want to use Credit cards money to pay for something, then why dont you use the legitimate way. I came across this blog of Paydeck & I found it as the best solution for using my credit card on my wish to pay for anything:Pay with Credit card anytime, anywhere & anyone through Paydeck! Most important thing I found was: Your Reciever is not required to be on Paydeck. You have to be responsible towards the payment & you have to provide your Pan card while making the payment to verify, you are using your card only & you are not sending money to your own bank account, which is actually not correct use of Credit card. You can pay using your credit card for the following things through Paydeck:Purpose of Payment List: ( As available on Paydecks website )Home/Office RentHome/Office Security DepositHome/Office CAM chargesReal Estate Agent PaymentHome/office RepairContractors PaymentEvent Managers FeesInterior DesigningVendor PaymentTuition FeesCoaching Institute PaymentHostel FeesFor more explore Paydeck website.( I am currently exploring opportunity to work with Paydeck, as I had to take a 1 year break from my last job. I am not an employee yet of Paydeck. You can say a Fan )

Is it possible to pay a credit card bill with cash?

Absolutely. Its a very convenient method for the bank also. You only need to know the associated Account number for your credit card. Go to the nearest branch and fill up a cash deposit slip like you would fill for any other deposit. Fill up the card account number and the card number if asked for. As soon as you deposit the money, the amount will reflect in your account and the bill will be considered as paid.-Gunjeet Singh - Co-Founder @ GalaxyCard - Get a Credit Card in 5 mins

Can you add money to a credit card?

I have.  I accidentally paid the balance owing on another card to a second card while doing on-line banking.  Nothing interesting happened, spotted the error and paid off the balance on the correct card without incurring an interest charge.  The card I added cash to in error still has a cash balance since it is a secondary card I use infrequently but I am slowly working it off.  Small amounts involved or I might have asked for a refund but I haven't.I once wanted to exceed my credit limit on a very large purchase to earn the reward points.  I phoned to ask whether I could add funds in advance to cover the excess over my credit card limit and was told I could not.  I think the call center employee was mistaken but didn't want to mess around so instead got the credit limit raised on that phone call.

Can we have credit card without having bank account?

The two way how I am understanding your question is:Do you need to have a bank account with the same Bank from whom you want to have a credit card? If this is the question, then the answer is No you don't need to have a bank account in the same bank from which you want to have a credit card.Do you need a Bank account at all, in any bank in order to get a Credit Card? If this is the meaning of the question, then the answer is YES, you need a bank account to get a credit card.Basic stuff on getting a Credit Card: To get a Credit Card, you should have a good Credit Score ( CIBIL ) & Income proof. And both of these things cant be acheived in actual, if there is no Bank account at all.Advanced Way on getting a Credit Card: You can opt for a Credit Card even if you don't have Credit Score ( CIBIL ) or bad credit score. And yes you wont need to show your income proof too. Banks Offer this product: SECURE CREDIT CARD, which is commonly known as CARD AGAINST FD.In this situation, you will have to create a FD with the said BANK & then you will be issued a Credit Card in lien with the FD with upto 80% or little more. This FD Cant be taken out by you until you don't clear off the dues of the credit card. But in this product of Credit Card (SECURE CREDIT CARD) too, you need to have a bank account to create a FD or some sort of account. Without Banking, you cant do any bank related stuff. And thus its important. Also, I read a answer from someone else here regarding PRE-PAID cards. Logically he is correct on the same, as the technicality/charges/functional behaviour of Prepaid Cards has Credit Card mechanism (Does not apply for all the pre-paid cards though). But Pre-paid card’s has their own limitations and cant actually be getting all the facilities of Credit Cards. Most Importantly, if you are opting for Unsecured ( Normal ) Credit Card with CIBIL & Income Proof or you are opting for Secured Credit Card, the transactions done on both & their due payments once are paid, are listed in Credit Union ( CIBIL ) and it slowly enhances your Credit Limit. Any other form of card does not help you on the same.Hope it helps. If there is any query, concerns, advises, please do not hesitate to write. Would love to learn more on this with you.Cheers!

Debt: Can you pay your credit card bill with another credit card?

You can not directly pay your one credit bill from another. There is no direct way, however it is possible to transfer your one credit card bill on another with which you can make the payment. There are several alternate methods with which you can pay your one credit card bill with another one.1- Pay your Bill with Advance Cash from ATMWithdrawal advance cash from with your credit card, can help you pay off your bill on time. You simply have to follow these steps.Go to an ATMWithdrawal advance cash from one credit cardDeposit that cash into your checking accountPay your bill with this other card2- Take the Convenience Checks from your Credit Card IssuerHave a deposit in your checking account with the convenient checks sent by your credit card issuer, and than pay your bill with this checking account.Things to Remember if you use any of the above Methods:Both of the method defined above will raise significant charges as the advance cash that you withdrawal from an ATM or go for a convenience check usually raise much higher interest rate. In the second method, your credit card issuer will apply a charge of 2% to 5%.3- Use E-WalletTransfer money from one credit card to e-Wallet and then pay your bill of your another credit card. This method will also incur a service charge.4- Pay with a balance transferThe method is one of the best can be used to pay your credit card bill with another one, however it is most similar to above one (pay through e-wallet)As you can not transfer the balances between the cards which are at same bank. So you can use the balance transfer method in which the new card has a lower interest rate than the card currently you are using. There are numbers of balance transfer cards that can offer you the facility to transfer your balances at 0% interest rates. The facility you can avail only till a certain time period. The method will also help you to avoid interest you pay on credit card debt.Things to Remember while paying with Balance TransferBalance trans can affect your credit score so while using this method to pay your credit card bills, you have to check the risks that could be raised. In short you have to carefully pay your bill with this method so that your credit score could not be effected.

How can you find routing numbers for Capital One?

At least since June of 2016, Capital One has been providing the routing numbers on the account transactions page for each account. If separate routing numbers are shown for ACH transactions and wire transfers, then the ACH routing number should be used for setting up direct deposits, making payments, and standard inter-bank transfers, and the wire transfer routing number for incoming wire transfers only. The routing number printed on checks may be another routing number altogether.Capital One actually has more than 80 routing numbers assigned to it. If you use the wrong one, then you can’t expect things will get processed properly.

How can I rebuild my credit when I never had credit to begin with?

You don’t have to rebuild credit, you have to build it. This difference matters, because rebuilding credit is much easier than building credit, in most cases. I suggest the following three steps:Have someone else add you as an authorized user to their credit card. Choose someone whom you consider responsible, i.e. they pay on time, and don’t have much credit card debt. Having this person add you, will result in the account appearing on your credit reports, and it helps to build your score. You should confirm with the card issuer that they report information to credit bureaus.Open a secured credit card. Discover and Capital One are great options. Basically, you’ll provide the deposit, which equals your spending limit. You should make one small purchase each month, and pay off the card in full. Always pay on time. After 8 to 12 months, you’ll probably be upgraded to an unsecured card (with the same company) and get your deposit back. If you really want to speed up your credit builder, get secured cards with both Discover and Capital One.This third step is optional, and not quite as important, but you may want to look into a credit builder account. Your local credit union may have one, or visit Self Lender. Basically, they set aside money for you in a savings account, and you make payments each month, until that money they set aside for you is paid off. The payments you make each month report to credit bureaus, and help you build a strong credit score.

Can I withdraw money that's shown as "pending" in my checking account?

No.Debit/EBT/Checking accounts have money deposited and withdrawn during non-business hours (usually around 12am). But each day, before money is deposited or withdrawn, the bank gives you some rope for one of two options: (1) spend less than you have available or (2) spend more than you have available.Option (1): You spend less and likely never know about the strangeness that happens with lower balance accounts.Option (2): You spend more and start seeing money & everyday transactions do weird things.ExampleYour account balance has been $50 for weeks. Day 1, you go to Chipotle, spend $6, and then put $40 gas in the car - replacing the $46 after payday and leaving the account alone for a week. Then, Day 2, you put $40 gas in the car, go to Chipotle, and your EBT is declined. Why?When you go to Chipotle, they know how much you're purchasing at the time of the transaction. On the other hand, gas stations have no idea how much you'll spend - so they do something called a soft check and temporary hold. A soft check is typically a $1 transaction, simply to verify the account is valid. Next, a temporary hold reserves your account funds for an amount close to what your final bill should be (e.g $50, $75, $100, etc. really depends on the vendor). Once you've completed the transaction with a vendor, they'll send the final purchased amount to your account and your bank will release the soft check and temporary hold, and bill you the final purchased amount during the nightly update (see 1st paragraph).Because banks typically allow transactions that take you into the red, but halt additional transactions, here's what happened in the example.Day 1: $50 account balance - $6 (Chipotle) - $1 (gas soft check) - $50 (gas temporary hold). 50-6= 44-1= 43-50=-7 (no more transactions will get approved)Day 2: $50 account balance - $1 (gas soft check) - $50 (gas temporary hold) - $6 (Chipotle). 50-1= 49-50= -1 (no more transactions will get approved). Leaving your $6 Burrito Bowl abandoned. So, in reality, "Pending" money means "Reserved." Once all reservations have been met, you'll be allowed to resume your normal activities.NOTE: Check deposits can show as pending as well. Most banks don't fully trust their customers. So if you deposit a $500 check, the bank may immediately allow withdrawal of $100, but the other $400 will be pending until your bank feels confident the check is valid (typically after 1 business day).

Can I get a cash advance through an ATM with a debit card?

The answer yes but one thing to keep in mind is that the money you get from an ATM machine by using your debit card is actually your money. It means that you must have enough available balance in your bank account in order to be able to withdraw money from the ATM. Otherwise, you would be using money that belongs to the bank and not to you.If you meant to ask if you are able to get an advance cash loan through the ATM machine by using your debit card then the answer is no. You might still be able to withdraw money from the ATM machine even if the available funds in your bank account are either insufficient or you have reached a zero balance point. However, that type of loan is a negative loan that is deemed unacceptable and questionable and which will only bring you issues rather than any positive solution because you owe money to the bank when you use an amount of funds that is greater to the one available in your bank account and of top of that; the bank will charge you an overdraft fee for surpassing the limit. For example, let us pretend that the funds available in your bank account is 20 but you are able to withdraw 100. Now you owe 80 to the bank plus they will charge you 35. So you owe 115 in total to the bank because you were allowed to use money that is not yours and of if you do not pay it all back to the bank and in a timely manner then your debt will keep on increasing and there will be further and greater consequences. The way to obtain money through the ATM machine is that you must insert your debit card into the ATM.The second step is to input your debit card personal pin number by using the ATM keyboard. And then press the button ENTER which is usually the green button in most ATM's.The next step after entering your correct debit card pin number at the ATM machine is to press the “withdraw” option from the ATM's menu options. After you select the withdrawal option from the ATM's menu option; the next step is to enter the exact amount of money that you want to withdraw from the ATM machine. You must also select where the money will come from. Either from your bank checking account or from your bank savings account because a debit card is linked to your bank account. Then if you have enough available balance in your bank account or if your bank agrees to proceed and give you the money even though your funds are insufficient then the ATM will dispense the cash for you to receive it.
