Move content from iTunes on your computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touchLearn how to manually add specific songs or videos onto your iOS device from your computer.By default, iTunes manages the content of your iTunes library (including your music, TV shows, movies, and more) manually, which gives you control over the content you want to take with you on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This is useful if your iTunes library contains more items than can fit on your device. If you're a member of Apple Music or subscribe to iTunes Match, you have iCloud Music Library turned on. When you have iCloud Music Library turned on, you can't manually manage music. You can still manage videos using the steps below.Manually add items to your deviceConnect your device to your computer.Open iTunes. Make sure that you have the latest version.Choose the content that you want to add to your device from your iTunes library.Look in the left sidebar for your device, then drag the content to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.If you're using an iPhone, you can only add music or video from a single iTunes Library. If you're using an iPad or iPod, you can add music from multiple iTunes Libraries, but video from only one iTunes Library. If you can't manually add or remove content from your deviceCheck to make sure that the "Manually manage music and videos" option is turned on:Connect your device to your computer.Open iTunes. Make sure that you have the latest version.Locate and click on your device. In the left sidebar, click Summary.Scroll to the Options section.Click the box next to "Manually manage music and videos."Click Apply. You might see a message that your device is synced with another library. This means that you've used a different computer to sync your device in the past, and iTunes can't sync without first erasing and replacing all iTunes content on your device.

Transfer music from iPhone to iTunes?

If all your songs were purchased from iTunes store, use "Transfer Purchases" option to transfer. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329

If some of your songs were from other sources, you will need to utilize some iPhone transfer program to help you, like this handy program called Tansee iPhone Transfer
http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tanse...
Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer. The whole process goes as follows:

Firstly install this program on your computer. When you connect your iPhone to the computer, this program would instantly display all music and videos on your iPhone. All you need is to select what you wish to transfer and click "Copy" button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your selceted folder on the computer safely. Now you can easily add those files to the iTunes library.
More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your iPhone.

Here is step-by-step guide on the whole process:

Hope this can help.

How do I transfer music from iTunes to my iPhone?

I just got a new iPhone and I can't figure out how to transfer my existing music on iTunes on my computer to the phone. I can transfer it with no problem to my iPod but not the iPhone. The auto-fill goes away when I plug in the iPhone.

What am I doing wrong? I'll admit I'm not the most tech savvy person either.

Thanks.

Can you put music on an iPhone without iTunes?

There are plenty of apps, DJ apps for example, that allow you to transfer music from the file system of your computer to the app.  Most these days use the iTunes program to make the transfer but before Apple made it possible to transfer files with iTunes these apps had companion programs for the computer.  You did not need iTunes to make the transfer.  It is possible that some of these apps still let you transfer files using these programs.  Many apps also let you transfer files via FTP, WIFI, Bluetooth, or through a website interface.  On your computer you simply type in the IP address given to you inside the app and an interface will open up that allows you to upload or download the files.

Why won't my music transfer from itunes to iphone?

1.) You could just use iCloud from your phone. You can go into your settings and follow the instructions on how to set it up. Then, go to the "iTunes" app on your iPhone. When you're there, there is a tab on the bottom of the app that says "Purchased" click that then click "Music" and all the music you have purchased from the iTunes store should be there.

2.) Make sure your iTunes on your computer is up to date.

3.) Make sure your iPhone software is up to date.
