What complications would occur if she took this type of Alka-Seltzer? I would ask her doctor but he is not good at all. Active Ingredients of Alka Seltzer is Aspirin, Chlorpheniramine maleate and Phenylephrine bitartrate I took Mucinex because with home remedies it was hard to get rid of all the mucus but now I'm starting to feel liquid going down my throat (it's itchy at the same time), and I suspect it might be post nasal drip (at the same time though my nose isn't running, I feel like it's all going down my throat) so I'm thinking perhaps a cold medicine would help me..
