Can I Wear A Hinged Hoop Earring In A Nose Piercing

Can I wear a normal earring in my nose piercing?

speaking from experience yes you can. and it does not look funny. i did the same thing when i first pierced my nose. Take a small stud earring and bend the end of it like a small hook cut excess so it does not hang out of your nose.

Can you use ear stud/earring as nose piercing?

You can use an earring, but I wouldn't recommend doing so for very long. I understand how you feel, though, because in the two years that I have had my two nostril piercings, I have only found one I liked and could actually wear (it was the one I was initially pierced with). I have used an earring as a nose stud once before because I lost one of my nose screws and could not get one for a few days. It was very annoying because the straight back kept poking the inside of my nose and it kept falling out. I suppose you could always find one with a long enough back to bend it so it will not fall out or poke you if you have to use an earring. Just remember to properly sterilize the earring before you put it in and make sure your nose is properly healed. I will give you some links to websites I have found with some interesting nose studs and rings so you can see if there are any you like. Good luck.

Can you use an earring as a nose piercing?

I have small earing studs that look good in my nose. I actually just put it in and correctly used plyers to shape it so it doesnt fall out. I wanted to change mine for awhile.. I had a white star nose stud but since its been in for a year it weared out. I cleaned the earing stud but was just concerned if using an earring stud is healthy.

So my question is, can you use an earring stud as a nose piercing stud?

PS: I wouldnt see why you couldnt because its made the same as a nose stud.

Thanks :)

Why is my nose piercing bleeding after I changed it to a hoop?

There are a variety of reasons why your nostril would be bleeding after you switched to a hoop. You could've switched your jewelry before you nostril was fully healed. If so it will take that much longer for your nostril to heal, since you reopened the wound that was trying to heal. Also, in most cases, when you switch to a hoop the gauge is often times bigger than the screw, bone, L shaped jewelry that you had in originally. When you replace you jewelry with a hoop, you need your nostril taper (gauging up) in order for the jewelry to fit without harming your skin. If you were not tapered and your ring is a gauge bigger, then you cut and widened your channel. This is a lot of trauma on your skin. Be prepared for a slow healing process. The bleeding could also be as simple as you got an impurity inside of it, or you bumped it causing it to bleed. In any of these cases, in order to heal the damage, clean it daily with your sea salt soak. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL! It is to abrasive for your skin. It will kill off any new skin cells trying to grow. DO NOT *I repeat* DO NOT switch out your jewelry! Even if your gauge is bigger than your previous jewelry, you already done the damage and you will do more if you remove it. Leave it alone for the time being. Do not touch it! If your problem still persists, contact your professional body piercer and have them take a look. They will give you the best advice. Hope this helps, the best of luck!

I need help with my tragus piercing!!! and also what kind of earring should i wear?

I had my tragus pierced about 4 months ago. I had a ring in but got tired of it and decided to change it myself. So i put in a regular diamond stud. But im guessing it was the wrong kind of earing since it was almost impossible to put the back piece in due to the lack of space and its also impossible to clean my ear out (is this normal?) and then after i finally got it in, i went to sleep and the next morning the stud had gone through the hole and i had to push it back out......and that was a month ago and now it happened again! help bc now it hurts and the hole is all stretched and nasty...what to do? Will i never be able to wear a stud :( or are there special stud earrings?

Can an earring be used as a nose ring? How?

Yes. Wherever you have the piercing (septum or nostril) you would just insert the earring through the piercing. Some styles of earrings would be more comfortable than others. I have multiple ear piercings, but personally, I don't think that I could tolerate a nose ring. My nose starts itching just thinking about it.

Can you use a nose ring as an earring?

I’ve had next to no experience with piercings other than in ears. So I’m not too clear on this. But I do know that you’re not supposed to wear stud earrings in your nose.Generally the size, length, and sharpness of the stud earring is different than what is required for a proper nose piercing. The ring or stud might shift because of width differences, be too long, or damage the nose with it’s sharp point.I can assume that the opposite may be true, in that nose rings will also be different widths, lengths, etc. And that it’s probably not a good idea to wear one in your ear. Also think about how the earrings will sit on your ear. In the nose a ring will sit flat against the face, a hoop earring will sit perpendicular to the ear.If you’re still left with questions, you can drop into a piercing parlor, and ask around.Walmart and other store chains that offer piercings are not a reliable source of information, so please don’t ask them.

Can I use Piercing Pagoda's ear saline solution on my nose ring?

I got my second hole earrings pierced 2 days ago (with a GUN) at Piercing Pagoda. I got my nose done today at home with a NEEDLE by a doctor. (2nd time, 1st time it closed up that was about a year ago)
So, at Piercing P's they gave me ear care solution to use twice a day. They said to only use that and not alcohol wipes on my ears. The guy doctor that pierced my nose said to use alcohol wipes on my nose.

Should I use the PP's solution on my nose? Or just stick with alcohol like the doc said??

thank u

I have an upper ear cartilage piercing. What type of earrings are best for that type of piercing?

I'll add to this that whether you choose studs, huggies, or simple hoops, I strongly recommend getting earrings made with hypoallergenic metals. Mainly, that means no nickel. If you don't have an allergy to nickel, you're in the clear, but I still always recommend taking that extra step, to avoid irritation and preserve the piercing. Randomly, people will have no reaction to nickle in a necklace, or even a lobe piercing, but react at the cartilage, or vice versa. If you're okay with being exposed to nickel, stainless steel is a good choice, and a lot of earrings are made with it. It's also cheaper than many other metals.Surgical steel is a great jewellery metal. It's quite safe. While I never recommend getting pierced by the gun, I love the Studex piercing earrings because they are surgical steel. You can buy them online fairly cheap. If you're like me, and have tons of ear piercings, it's an easy, economical way to get enough matching earrings for your ears. Piercing jewellery sites also sell a lot of items in surgical steel.I also like to recommend sterling silver. It does tarnish, so you do need to clean them once in awhile (but then, you should be cleaning your jewellery anyway), but it's a pretty metal, and only a worry if you're allergic to silver. Sterling silver earrings aren't very expensive, either. All my earrings, minus the daith and tragus, are sterling silver (those two are surgical steel), and I don't have to clean them in silver cleaner very often.Gold is also a popular, safe metal, barring allergies. If you're like me and don't like the colour, there's always white gold. The only issue is the price, which means that for many people, myself included, it's only for special jewellery.Whenever you put new jewellery in, check in it a few times the first week, several times the first day. Like I said before, sometimes people have reactions to metals they've used before. New or old metal, you want to catch if you're having a reaction, or if your skin is turning green (some pieces can be labeled for any of the above metals, but the seller can be a liar, liar, pants on fire) before it gets bad.As for the earring itself, I'm a huge proponent of studs. They look nice, and you're far less likely to get your hairbrush caught on them. They're also generally cheaper than hoop styles with stones in them.Happy shopping!
