Can I Whiten My Teeth Which Are Bridge Teeth

How do i whiten dental bridges?

I'm sorry but dental bridges are made from porcelain and porcelain has a stable color. You can't do anything to the porcelain bridge in your mouth to whiten them. Baking soda can remove surface stains on your porcelain bridge and teeth but thats about it.

If you whiten your teeth with professional bleaching, your natural teeth will get whiter and your bridge will remain the same color.

Your best option to whiten your dental bridge is to replace them with a bridge with a whiter shade.

I hope I was able to help.

A nightmare come true about my dental bridge. I got an 8 teeth temporary bridge?

i went to an adjacent Asia country and to a clinic that I read many good reports about and talked to someone who had all his teeth capped 4 years earlier and they looked great. I have bad teeth especially in front. I went to this clinic and explained I wanted my teeth capped. It was decided that they would put an 8 tooth bridge on my uppers. This went well and it looked great. I got back to where I live and everyone was impressed. I then started my new semester at a university I work at. Around that time I began having dreams of my bridge falling off. About a week later, I woke up and the bridge was on the bed. It had fallen off. I placed it back on and emailed my dentist. She said not to worry unless it started hurting or being sensitive. It fit quite snug with no movement. I kept having several of these mini nightmares a night. Since my teeth have fallen out a few times at night and never a problem in the day time. This morning they fell out and I looked at my nightmare. I have always grind my teeth and had apparently ground down the 7 abutment teeth- some just little stubs. I placed the bridge back on and it is snug - no movement. I will go ASAP to the dentist - right now it is Sunday. I admit that I should have gone to the dentist the first time a problem was encountered. Well, now I have a huge problem. The bridge has 3 small holes in the back where I was grinding - I know it will need to be replaced. My horror is: Can a new bridge be fitted on what are now little stubs? I teach and if I have to walk around without 8 front teeth for a period - I will loose my job!

Is there any hope?????

Dental Bridge + teeth whitening question too.?

Well, i dont have a bridge.. BUT i will tell you, what i do know about both questions, seeing how i'm a Dental Assistant/Tech of 14+ years now.

1st... No, no one can tell..IF you get the right type of bridge. Since its a front tooth, DO NOT get a PFM (porcelain fused to metal). The metal shows through after time, and it looks like you have a black line around your gum tissue. GET.. a ALL porcelain bridge. Theres no metal, to show through. There fore it looks natural. People will never know the difference unless you tell them. As far as the feel.. it will feel strange till you get use to it. You have a tooth missing, a bridge fills the spot, of course its going to feel different. Will it be uncomfortable? NO... you wont even notice its there.

2nd... In office use of Peroxide is around 25%. But thats for the professional use, that we do in office. Not the stuff, we give you to take home. Its a high percentage, and you need professional / trained people in this procedure to do it right as so, NO damage is done to the gum tissue. IT CAN/ WILL burn the gum tissue, if not applied properly and carefully. We're trained to do this the 'right' way. After we bleach in the office we give patients 'take home' kits, that have no more than 12% Peroxide. Why, so low? Because of exactly what i said before... YOU can cause damage to your gum tissue if not applied properly. WE make 'customized' bleaching trays to fit your mouth/teeth PERFECTLY to the very T. As so the gel doesnt run out of the tray and come in contact with your tissue.

Hope that helps... Use your own judgement, on whatever you do JUST... Be careful.

How can I whiten my fake tooth?

Hi friend

If you are really suffering from dark and chipped teeth than you must try my home made remedies advice I hope this will really help you in whitening the teeth.

Baking soda: Classical, baking soda has many purposes, such as teeth whitening. Most dentists agree that it is safe to use and works very quickly. You can use a dry toothbrush or mix it with toothpaste to neutralize the salty taste.

Hydrogen Peroxide: -One of the most popular home remedies, the peroxide is cheap and most people have in their hands. Chances are that you have a burning sensation in the gums, but you will be left to whiter teeth cleaning. Generally, most people see results within a few weeks, but it can happen much faster. It is also safe to gargle, but do not swallow it.

Brush your teeth as usual roar, and then for about a minute. Followed by saliva and rinse with water. Another way to use it by dipping cotton swab into the solution and rub gently in your teeth, front and rear.

Strawberries: Few people know that strawberries contain teeth whiteners, and the seeds are perfect for cleaning. Since they also contain sugar and acids, it is important to brush immediately afterwards with fluoride toothpaste. Simple and fast, you can rub the strawberry against your teeth or mash-up and use it as toothpaste.

Homemade tooth paste: One of the better home recipes for whiter teeth is a paste of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, salt and a dab of toothpaste. Mix together and brush stains

Can I use Crest White strips when I have two bridges?

I was told by my dentist NOT to use any whiteners of any kind on crowns...which is what your bridge is attached to. I had asked incase my crown started to discolor which he said it wouldn't but warned not to whiten my teeth either since my teeth would then not match my crown.

I would suggest buying a Sonicare because it will remove plaque and whiten your teeth naturally and they will feel so much better as well.

As always when in dought...call your Dental Office.
