Can I Workout After Getting My Navel Pierced And Should I Wear A Bandage Over It It Is Worth The

Navel (Belly button) piercing questions? Any such help?

1. no, its probably just a lot of skin between it but its no big deal
2. yup, mine was the same way. it takes a while to heal. mine didnt start to look like it was actually healing until about 2 weeks later.
3. it will hurt and most likely swollen on the inside because its still a wound around the ring. but mine looked crooked at first too but after 4 months now, i can now see that it looks straight again.
4. the swelling lasted for about 2 weeks for me but its different for everyone.
5. i feel a lot of it, you should be able to feel it. its normal. but i recommend not to touch it alot because it will cause infection or rejection
6. just clean it twice everyday with a warm non-iodized sea salt and water combination, and dont play with it a lot. it might heal straight because thats what mine did and even if it doesnt, no one studies it enough to realize it.
7. it is not worth getting it repierced, you would have to wait 6 months after you take the ring out so that it heals in order to get it repierced. it isnt even noticible, its only slightly crooked.
8. im not sure about what type of materials, i think bioplast is better but i have stainless steal and mine healed fine.
9. after 10 weeks, you can swim. if you want to swim after 2 weeks of having your belly button pierced then i would wear a water proof bandage over it.
10. you could wear a water proof bandage and clean right after leaving the pool or as soon as possible.
11. your piercer should give you all the neccessary information. also, you should wait to change your belly button ring until you have had it for 6 months.

Pain is relative, as it originates in the brain, and all brains are different.  The short answer is yes, but 10 different people will claim 10 different levels of pain.  Comparatively speaking, it's one of the less painful piercings.  Most people find it not only tolerable, but also not hugely painful.  I'd compare it to the earlobe piercing.  Navel skin is thicker than the lobe, but the needle is less painful than the gun, always.  For me, who got my navel done at 14, the clamp used to hold the skin in place hurt worse than the piercing. The piercing is a quick sharp pinch, then a few moments of fiddling the clamp off and jewellery on which can cause slight tugging.  It was very tolerable for me, even at 14.  In short, a quick 2-4 on the pain scale, then tolerable soreness. If you're not good with pain, bring a plushie to hug or friend's hand to hold.  Drink juice or something sugary before and during your visit to the parlour.  It's very unlikely, but people have passed out once they stood up after being pierced.  Juice helps prevent this.  I've personally never seen anyone faint.  Take anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen at home to help with swelling and soreness. Do not take aspirin before the piercing; it is a blood thinner. Follow the piercer's directions to the letter. So, to summarize:  One of the less painful piercings.  Compare it to earlobe piercing.  Perhaps a 2-4 out of 10 pain-wise, then mild soreness.  If you think you'll have trouble with pain, come prepared.Good luck, future belly button blingers!

I want to get my navel pierced?

1. Dont even worry about the pain. It does hurt, just think, you ARE getting a needle shoved in your lip, but you wont even remember it after, piercings are totally worth it. My piercer was an idiot and didn't know what he was doing.. took forever.. like 10 minutes, so mine likely hurt more than most peoples. But i didnt cry or anything but still only like maybe 6/10 (1 being not even flinching and 10 being me crying lol) ... seriously though.. don't even worry about pain.. its over in a mnute
2. They say 6 weeks but it takes more like a year to fully heal. Your better getting it after summer when you'd be showing it off cuz its gonna look gross for a couple weeks.. especially if you swim.. You can change it soon but it does get infected easily and takes a long time to heal completely.
3. My clothes never ripped it out, and long as you dont get a dangly ring (whenever I wear rings with things hanging off them they catch on my pants when i sit down).. I dont think mine ever really got caught, though you are gonna hit it a few times and its gonna hurt like ****.. but again.. just pain and you'll get over it. When you sleep, use smoother sheets.. just cotton even (ihave rough cotton sheets and their fine) but nothing like.. knit or with threads hanging off of them. Try if for a few nights and if you have a problem just but a bandage over it.. but really its only the little ball on the top sticking out so you should be fine

Belly button piercing???

Personally I think belly button rings are more attractive. I have one and I didnt think it was painful. My sister has both and she said her nose hurt the worst out of all her piercings, she has gotten her rook, nose, and belly button. Complications can happen with either you just have to be careful not to get an infection. They both will scar but the nose would be seen more. My sister has a little hold in her nose (it is closed) but you can see where it was. It isnt really noticable but still there. And belly buttons rings leave a circle scar which isnt the prettiest. I hope this helps you decide.

How bad does it hurt to get your belly button pierced?

for me...it hurt really bad. I could feel the needle slowly going through my skin and making a hole in it. It felt sickk. But i couldn't see anything cuz i was laying down and kind of bent back a little in the chair thingy. It hurt after it was done too, all night long. It was so sore....it hurt getting in the car. But it was totally worth it. I absolutley love my belly piercing. It's been like 3 months and i just changed my ring into a cute dangly one =) The piercer told me to wait at least 6 months to a year until i can change it or go into a swimming pool or hot tub. I changed mine after 3 months but that's only because mine healed early. I recommend getting it pierced. It probably won't hurt you that bad...i'm just a baby. lol. It doesn't hurt like soo bad that you have to cry or scream or anything....it's not thatt bad.

First. They pinch your belly skin around the belly button with this thing... and then they take the needle, it's not like regular needle, it's thicker. And they make the hole with the needle, while still pinching your skin with the other thing. Then they take the ring and put it through. And they take the needle out after the ring is in and then screw it on.

You have to clean it twice a day, every day. Alllllot of people get it infected. I didn't. Mine healed soo well because i cleaned it with Provon and nothing else twice a day. It hurts to touch it for like the first week but you MUST move it around when you're cleaning at least 7 times through each cleaning process. You have to move the ring up and down slowly, if you don't, it can get stuck to your body. I'm not kidding, it happened to me. Also. Do not touch it EVER. don't let anybody touch it EVER. You can only touch it when you are cleaning it with antibactarial ( i highly recommend Provon) Wash your hands with it first and then clean the belly button area and jewerly with it and water. The piercer will give you instructions on how to do it and stuff.Good luckk!!!!!!!!! Don't be scared. I was soooo scared. But i'm so glad i did it.

Belly Button Piercing? (cheerleading)?

each so often instructors allow you to place a plaster over piercings. in case you place a great patch over the entire piercing (that's lifelike as you have an infection which you fairly elect to maintain clean) then probably she would be able to no longer understand what's decrease than there anyhow? i assume it boils right down to no count in the experience that your instructor isn't pleased with the piercing via protection ingredient (it may capture on some thing/somebody) or via fact of aesthetic motives. For the easily an infection itself, you do could get that decrease than administration. Infections that are only left to worsen and worse can finally bring about extreme blood poisoning. pass on your pharmacist and clarify what the priority is. you need to purchase some antiseptic wash that's often very much less costly. Use cotton wool and ensure you get the wash everywhere around and into the piercing hollow. that could help. yet while it would not, get rid of the piercing and seek for scientific assistance. each and all of the appropriate with the attempt outs!

Have you ever gotten any piercings besides for earring and if so did it hurt? GIRLS ONLY?

Sweet! I got my septum pierced, it hurt but not a whole lot. I'd do it again if I had to. I think stretching my ear holes hurt more.

Ignore anyone that says it interferes with breastfeeding, that's a myth. You just have to take them out if you do (only feeding time) so baby doesn't swallow them. But it won't make the milk ducts go bad or anything, the piercings aren't deep enough to affect anything internal.
