Can My Parents Turn Off My Phones Wifi At Night

My parents turn off the wifi at night, is there any way I can get a router or my own wifi in the same house?

The question really says it all, I want to know if there is any way I can get a free or cheap Internet connection that I can control within the same house as another router.

How do you turn on your WiFi at night after your parents turned it off?

You'll need money roughly $60 - $120. Purchase a second router (router only; no modem) install second router behind your parents router providing they will not see it. Connect your router to power and one of there lan ports (ethernet). On your router you will need to hide your SSID so your parents will not know you are broadcasting your own WiFi signal. To do this you will have to log in to your router however you have to (it will depend on the brand of router). Disable broadcasting of SSID and remember your SSID so write it down and create a password for your network. It can be amything you want. Once you have set it all up you will have a discreet WiFi network providing ofcourse your parents don't look behind they're router and find yours.Good Luck.

Do you turn off your Wifi when you go to bed at night?

A2A. Not necessarily at night because my sleeping patterns are totally wack, by normal standards, but yes, I generally turn off the wifi before I go to sleep.Being too close to the WiFi router has been linked to sterility and poses a number of other health hazards, one of which is disruption of a healthy sleep cycle. Some days when I go to bed without switching the WiFi off, I am unable to fall asleep. It's like those waves prevent my mind from reaching that point of relaxation necessary for sleep. Other times I feel really agitated.Sometimes I'd be really tired and you'd think that I'd be knocked out within minutes, only to find myself tossing and turning, feeling really edgy, almost to the extent that I wanna pull my hair out, but then I question myself, like “why are you feeling this way??”; then it would hit me, like “damn, I bet I forgot to switch the wifi off”, lol.But luckily it didn't take me too long to realise that the wifi was the cause of the issue. I remember the initial days when I didn't know what was causing my agitation..It was a terrible feeling. I literally felt like punching a hole in the wall or something; anything to take the edge off. I think I did actually punch the pillows s few times, lol. I'm just glad it didn't take me too long to realise the culprit. But many times I do manage to fall asleep with the wifi on. I think I built up a tolerance to it over time. But even then, the quality of my sleep would be lacking. Like, I'd wake up all groggy, still feeling tired.I don't think it affects everyone as much as it affects me, though. I'm pretty sure it does affect everyone indiscriminately, but I'm generally far more perceptive and sensitive to stimuli than most people, so the effects I feel are far more pronounced.I definitely have built up a tolerance to it over time, though.

How to get wifi, even if my parentals turn it off.?

If you mean that they configured the wifi router to disable the wifi, you would have to physically sneak to the router and connect via an ethernet cable. Then you could access the router's web configuration page (usually at http://192.168.1.1 ) and reconfigure it to enable wifi but disable SSID broadcast. By doing this, it forces you to manually enter the wireless router's SSID when you want to connect and if you try to browse for the available wireless routers, yours will not show up. This way they won't notice that you turned the wifi back on. However if they have saved the connection details on the computer then they will still be able to connect and see you turned it back on.

The more advanced wireless routers have configuration options to only allow a certain MAC address to connect. If this is the case then you could configure it to allow your devices (if you can determine the MAC address) and no other devices. This combined with disabling SSID broadcast would ensure that only the most tech savvy could tell that you were using the wifi.

My dad turns off the wifi and night, help.?

So he turns it off at 10 pm in schools days, which are the weekdays. It's understandable but he also turns it off in the weekend which just gets me really mad since its the only time I get to stay up late. We use at&at u-verse. I'm not sure but I think he unplugs the router. So he disconnects all wifi from phones etc I use PC and I can't use hotspot because I have unlimited data. Any help on how I can get back the wifi. The cable is in his room so I can't go and plug it back in.

How do I convince my parents to stop turning off my WiFi at 10 pm every night?

If my kids did all of these…Show that screen time is not a distraction to a good nights sleep by waking up every morning to get ready for school, on their own.Show their grades aren’t suffering, possibly because they’re too tired.Show respect and appreciation for all we do for them. The respect is a good indicator of lack of grumpiness. Fatigue makes people grumpy, especially my kids.If they could do all of that consistently, I would know they have the self-discipline and maturity to not have their internet taken away after 10pm.Maybe you can make a deal with your parents that you will do all of these things. Be sure to follow through.

Is it right for my mum to turn off the wifi?

I am not sure why everyone is so Authoritarian “ Her house , Her RULES”. It’s like parents enslaves their children.Your mum loves you and wants you to sleep well. So try discuss with her how it’s unsatisfactory for you to only use the internet for only 15 min. and try to search for solutions. You don’t have to change the rules to use the internet more for example you can change your style like taking a break for 30 min 7:00pm to use the internet then continue studying till 9:00 pm (last 15 min without internet). so you gained 15 min more to use the internet.or try to be innovative to find a middle ground in the end your mum loves you and wants you to be happy.
