How do you add a picture to a post on Reddit?
I was also irritated as to why Reddit (and other sites) would not pull the image I intended. Reddit (and others) look for tags on the page to tell it which image to pull. Facebook does something similar for how it selects the image of the article in question when there are many images on the page. The submitter has no control over what image is used, it is up to the web site developer to do it. Question about the site Imgur?
I was trying to upload a pic on Imgur.com to get a link to post it to a site. Well, I accidentally bumped the wrong pic since I was on my phone and a not so "internet friendly" one went. Now, I do NOT have an Imgur.com account, therefore, I was NOT logged into the site in any way. I also did not click on any of the "post publicly" (or whatever it says about the public) tabs. So my question is - am I safe? Did it actually upload for real... publicly? Or am I ok? There usually is a "delete image" link when you upload a pic, but I didn't see it, so I never "deleted" it. I just cleared my browser history so the link was gone (I know before when I've used this site in this manner it says that ONLY the people or person who gets the link can view the image. Once it gets deleted, it comes up that the image isn't there/cannot be found when someone clicks it). So can anyone find this link? Is it forever on this site, or was deleting the browser history ok enough? I just feel weird since there was no "delete" link and am a bit paranoid I may get in trouble since it wasn't an "appropriate" image (I'm not a minor, but still).
Are the view counts on imgur.com legit?
I recently made a reddit account and uploaded a couple comics onto imgur.. each one says it has over a thousand views, but not that many votes on reddit.. so does this actually mean over a thousand people viewed it?! Can you use the images that are on imgur gallery for commercial purposes?
Just because something is posted on the internet, doesnt means its up for grabs. Using someone's image w/o their permission would be copyright infringement, unless it was stated that its a license that allows other to use, modify and use for commercial purposes. And just because it was uploaded somewhere and even stated that you can use it for whatever, it still may not be ok, as that image could have been re-uploaded by someone who isnt the original owner. Though the changes are slim of you getting hit with a lawsuit over an stealing image (that isnt a registered trademark of another company), but either way it would still be possible.

imgur is an image sharing site, that means pretty much anything goes. So if your content is not illegal then it stays there, so yes, nudes are completely fine. Second, your page could have gotten views in a variety of ways, if you made it as a post than anyone browsing imgur can see it. Other than that, there are lots of "random imgur generators" that give images, so people can see and clock on your image. Hope this helps!
