There is no problem if you play sports during your period. Menstrual cramps and mood swings can affect your mobility to an extent during menstruation. But exercise and being physically active actually helps during periods as when you exercise your body releases a chemical called serotonin also called as feel - good hormone.

Can penicillin delay periods? Please help!! ?

stress can delay your period - the more you stress, the later your period will be. If you really were super-stressed this month, you might just skip this month's period altogether and get one around the time you'd get one next month.

I wouldn't stress too much - unless you are on birth control pills and taking penicillin... as some antibiotics can make birth control pills not work too well, and, well, things can happen. These period pains you're having now could just be that you are ovulating now so you'll get your period in 2 weeks then...

It's just going to be a wait and see thing right now. Just stay protected if you're not ready to be a mama. There are just so many options out there for birth control, there's really no excuse for not using it, in my honest opinion.

Does playing sport make your breasts stop growing?

Only if you haven't already developed completely. You do actually produce less sex hormones if you are training very heavily/playing vigorous sports on a regular basis, and if you aren't done growing that may mean your breast growth will be delayed. This is only temporary, however, and won't cause your breasts to be smaller for life.

To address some points brought up by other posters, yes, if you lose a lot of weight your breast size may go down. Also, I think there is a cause/effect relationship with female gymnasts; I don't think they have smaller breasts because they are gymnasts, but rather became gymnasts because they have such lithe builds.

If I run a mile everyday, will it delay my first period?

It might by a little bit, but to be honest when your body is ready to start releasing eggs, it just will. I doubt you'll delay it long. Congratulations on the stamina.
