Can Police Get In Trouble For Using Racial Slurs During An Arrest

Can I call the police and get someone arrested for giving me a wedgie?

Please don't answer this question if you are going to be stupid or make fun of me.

I started highschool this week, and to make matters worse I don't go to the same school with all my friends from middle school because I live in a diffrent district. My school is around 90% African American and I am white so I already feel a little about of place.

Today at gym I got into an argument with another girl and she told a bunch of people I called her the "N" word, which I DID NOT, but it got a lot of people mad at me so during lunch I went to the basketball ball court to eat (and hide) because no one is allowed to go in there during lunch. After a few minutes though her and about 15 other people came running in and grabbed me, I was so scared I couldn't even scream, I just started crying. They all picked me up and gave me a wedgie by hooking my panties onto one of the basketball goals and then raising the goal where my feet could not touch the ground. Can I call the police?

Why do police arrest blacks so much more then whites?

Probably because "Driving While White" isn't a crime yet...

Can somebody in the USA be arrested for calling someone a racial slur?

Racial slurs in and of themselves are protected speech under the First Amendment. If they weren’t you wouldn’t have groups like Stormfront or the KKK able to spew their bile.Absent inciting people to violence, the Courts protect such speech even they feel it has no redeeming social value. They’ve held it isn’t their place to decide the merits or value of the speech but merely ensure the right to engage in its receives the strongest possible protection.Anyone arrested for merely saying racist or hateful things would find themselves having a case against as their are no charges that can be found that will withstand the applied scrutiny as speech via the First Amendment.

Why do people act like Black police officers don't racially profile?

That's just ignorant. My friend got arrested when the police were called because he was trying to get into his house since he locked himself out. He acted stupidly and angrily, so he got arrested. He was white and the cop was white. If you try to piss the cops off by making their job difficult, they'll try to do the same to you, but the cops always win.

What can i do, police arrest my brother for no reason?

Did your brother realize the girl was a prostitute? Did he ask her for sex? Also if the girl asked his name then maybe it was some sort of set up. Has your brother been in trouble with the law before? I would definitely get a lawyer and keep track of who you and your friend spoke with at the jail. Keep all paperwork that you may get from this situation.

But YES GET A LAWYER!!!

Can you be arrested for calling a black cop the ’N’ word?

From the perspective of the United States:Directly, no, you could not legally be arrested for that. Vile and nasty speech is still free speech.I guarantee you, though, it will put a target on your back. Probably not only from that officer, but any others who know about it. Most people violate the law in various minor ways, and most cops overlook those violations if you're not causing any trouble. But if you pull that one, they may decide to be very strict in your case. I'd expect to start seeing tickets for 1 over on the highway, or jaywalking, or smoking too close to a doorway, or whatever those minor infractions might be that they'd usually just give a warning for or ignore. And if you were committing one of those minor infractions at the time you interacted with the officer, you can almost certainly kiss any warning you might have gotten for it goodbye. And don't expect any sympathy once you get to court on it, either. It'll be especially funny if you happen to get a black judge, and get to explain to them just why you thought that was a good idea. And yes, they do read the officers' reports. But no judge will be amused by that one. That's before we get to the fact that anyone who uses such a slur to refer to any other human being is a racist asshole to start with. So, in short: It's a shitty thing to do anyway, and it's also a really bad idea. So don't.

What's the best way to deal with corrupt police?

Politely.Seriously. If the officer is demanding some kind of payment for not giving you a ticket or ignoring an offense he says you committed, listen, be polite and explain you don’t have the funds. Then after you get the ticket, go to his agency (as soon as practical) and file a complaint with internal affairs.Corruption can take many forms. It can include accepting a bribe, sexual favor, or something else, in return for not giving you a ticket or not arresting you for an offense. It could also be knowingly giving you a ticket for something you clearly haven’t done, arresting you for a crime not committed, threatening you with arrest, jail or physical harm if you exercise your constitutional rights, theft of money or property, or other crimes.Corruption doesn’t include incidents where the officer is rude, stern, critical, blunt, physical or rough in handling a person, or who gets angry with people “playing stupid,” those resorting to snide or snarky responses & comments, or using racial slurs against him. As long as that anger does not manifest itself in unlawful or unjustified physical assault.Police officers must not only obey the law, but the restrictions and policies of their departments as well as the Canons of Police Ethics. Ethical violations are generally considered as a failure of the officer to adhere to proper conduct. Violating these ethics can result in disciplinary actions ranging from counseling to termination. If you see an officer doing something unethical (read the Canons of Police Ethics first), you can likewise report him to his department’s internal affairs. However, use common sense here too. One local officer was reported for an “ethical” violation when he stopped at a local restaurant and seemed especially chummy with the proprietor, who gave him a meal without charge. There was a reason, of course. The proprietor was the officer’s mother. Only a cad would suggest that a mother should be forced to charge her child for a meal that she would always give them for free. (Even so, it was recommended he either say “Thanks, Mom” or “Put it on my tab” to avoid the impression of an ethics violation.)

Why do you think the police protected the KKK while gassing and arresting the demonstrators?

The same reason the police in Northern Ireland arrested the catholic minorities, when they were beat up by the protestant majority, and fired into a bunch of unarmed demonstrators on Bloody Sunday . Who do you think was under those sheets? The friends and neighbors of the cops who were beating the protesters. I wouldn't be surprised to learn some of those cops were kkk members themselves.

Can a white police officer arrest a native american person?

It all depends on where these two people are at. It is not the color of their skin that is an issue it is what ground they are standing on. Indian reservations have their own law enforcement and laws that govern their land, and when they are not on the reservation they must obey the laws as everyone in the US must do. But if a police officer enters their reservation his authority doesn't hold much weight.
