Oh, poor baby. At one time (14 years ago) my cat had this problem, and he would be sooooo upset until I "fixed" it.

then get some unspiced pumpkin, canned, like for pumpkin pie but you want plain pumpkin. If you are feeding soft food, mix a bit in, see if you can get her to eat it. This is fiber and should firm up the poop quickly if it's not parasites. She may eat it, my cats won't but many really like it.

Then take her to vet to get her checked in case she has parasites or worms. This could be causing her stools to be soft, smelly, and somewhat runny.

Then switch her food and you can take her off the pumpkin probably after a few days on a good food. Their poop should come out and immediately be clumped together. Instead it is coming out too soft and sticking to her. There are "premium" foods out there that you must get from a pet store, except for one by Paul Newman's company. I use Innova. It was not included in the recall, it has no harmful preservatives and it has fiber in it which will help to firm up the stools. It is a little more expensive than grocery store food, but it takes less to fill the cat up, and there is less poop besides. Once I switched I could not believe how soft my cats' fur became, no dander, really visible results within about 3 weeks. There are other good foods, including, Wellness (my cats don't like it) and Eagle Pack. The pet stores also sell food like IAMS (now owned by Proctor and Gamble, the soap company!) and Meow Mix, etc., and are not "good" foods. Do not get that Science Diet crap,..it's good for the "health related" foods, e.g., Kidney, etc. but as a total nutrition it is way down on the list of "good." When you switch foods, switch slowly, 1ith about 1/4 new, and 3/4 old, then 1/2 and 1/2 after about 5 days, then 1/4 old and 3/4 new, as it can cause diarrhea if you switch tool quickly.
