By having a partner youtube can pay you, you get advertising etc. You also recieve a banner! Without a partner you can't have the banner. Maybe you can try a background image that you can customize on picnik. Make a collage on picnik! Spacer for door header?
a 2x4 is 1 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. So if your wall is made up of 2x4 studs, it is 3 1/2 inches thick. when you make a header, whether it is 2x4 2x6 2x8 or whatever, the 2x's are put in edgwise. so when you nail two planks together which are each 1 1/2 inches thick, it makes a header which is 3 inches thick. the wall is 3 1/2 inches thick. So you add a spacer such as 1/2 inch plywood between the 2xs so the finished header is 3 1/2 inches thick. the same thickness as the wall. Now every thing will be flush, and when you put on the drywall, it will be have solid backing around the edges of the door opening.

Headers are 1 part of the exhaust system, they bolt onto the motor so they are the 1st part. Headers help in 2ways, they make a easier path for the exhaust gases to leave your motor and they keep the heads a little bit cooler than cast iron manifolds. Side affect of headers is Horse Power added with a Better free flowing exhaust system including a better muffler setup will bring even more horse power to the motor. So the answer to your question is, YES you can see better fuel mileage over all with headers even better with a full exhaust upgrade. Also to help your motor breath upgrading the air intake to a Cold Air intake ram would help more til you can afford headers. Both together would be best. Side note: you DO have to get proper headers for your motor with the O2 sensor port and keep your cats for the proper back pressure.
