What is a review for Ashoka University for computer science? Will it provide the right environment for computer science?

Thanks for the A2A.As others have already mentioned, the coding culture at Ashoka is not as developed at Ashoka as the IITs. We are a new university, so i hope we will build it up in the coming years. But we certainly have professors at par with those at IITs , and you have access to all the resources that you need, as you can always place a request for any resource that is required. So eventually, the coding culture or whatever you may call it boils down to the individual. If you are committed, Ashoka will make sure that nothing in terms of access to either quality teaching or quality resources stops you. Also, at Ashoka, the sole emphasis of the CS major is not on programming. It is seen more as a tool. But if you are really interested in coding, we do try to provide you opportunities ranging from out of city hackathons to something as small as extra-credit parts in the assignments every week. And then, you are in any case free to work with the concerned proffesor to develop your interest further. And finally, who might know, may be you could be the  boost that the ' coding culture' at Ashoka needs!Hope this helps! All the best!

CoolMax V500 500W Power Supply review?

Hi, I found it on newegg here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... and a peek at the label http://c1.neweggimages.com/NeweggImage/p... shows the ratings (which are typical for a 500w budget unit) and more curious the UL listing of E308604 which is reg'd to Coolmax.

After a bit of searching I found a respectable review of a similarly-made unit (same UL listing) here on the CP-500T model http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?nam...

reading on to the second page it performed badly, failed some tests completely (meaning it could not stand up to it's rated power) and had really poor voltage regulation which is not good for hardware.

"I began to suspect that I was, in fact, playing with an overrated 400W power supply, as the unit wouldn't do a thing for me over 450W without the overload protection coming out to play."

And that model is allegedly better than yours - lol... So, if you have yet to take it out of the box, may be worth returning in exchange for a more solid-performing unit.

cheers

How to transfer photos from phone to computer?

If you have a Razor with a Micro SD slot, you can get a memory card for it, and then transfer the pictures to your computer either hooking up the phone with the kit from Motorola or getting a memory card reader that accepts Micro SD cards if you don't have a built in memory card reader on your computer.

Or, if you have picture messaging, you can send pictures to your email address. Then on your computer, access your email and download the attachment and save it to the folder you want to save it to.

Hope this helps. Good luck! :)

Could someone who has scored 100 in CBSE computer science with C++, share their review of the C++ programs list?

Well,I Scored 99!(Not 100 :P).My C++ program list mostly consists of the programs which were present in the book Computer science with c++ by Sumita Arora(We followed this book in our school).Apart from these I tried programs on my own using file handling concepts(Investigatory project). The list is purely based on the interest of the individual! There is no set of programs to get 100 :P! But still as you have asked I have mentioned mine!Happy learning! All the best!Cheers!! :)

Can someone review Eduncle's study material and their service?

To review a study material based on one or two points is tough. Whenever I buy books or study material (Which I do often, due to my PhD), I keep following things in mind. For me the appearance of book or study material doesn’t matter at all. I have borrowed the study notes of IITians and other students which were nearly destroyed. But ultimately these were useful to me because the notes were good and they had valuable things about my subject.Same goes with Eduncle, the study material looks decent. There are three books for theory. Three for practice question (best one). No one can beat level of these questions.Secondly, I have seen one tendency in students. They think by buying a book they’ll top exam.No dear, you need to study the book as well. At least 3 times before the actual exam and then expect a decent score in IIT Level exam.Study the material first, make notes in second reading and then revise. But what students actually do:> Hear about a good study material> Buy it> Don’t study for 5–6 months> When one or two months are left, read half minded> get low score due to lack of practice> complain about the quality of study material. The reviews for Eduncle study material are available on quora and other platforms.Mostly good reviews, some are negative and you must see these too.For fair opinion you might like to read this - FAIR Review of Eduncle IIT JAM Study Material — Clear and Simple!
