Does watching videos while connected to wifi use data?
If you are watching video online, then of course it will use data! If you are watching offline from a file, the video it self won't use data, BUT! background applications like messaging apps, the video player you are using, all other apps checking for updates, your operating system and etc will use data! either turn Airplane Mode on or turn off Data Exchange or WiFi or Cellular Data or anything like that to prevent ANY data usage. If you are only concerned about Cellular Data, turning it off will prevent any SIM-based (Cellular) data usage.
If you're using someone's WiFi, can they track what you've done online?
It is called a LOG and yes a wireless router does keep one if you tell it to. Hell, you can even tell the router to email it to you if you want. I am using DDWRT and I can do some amazing things with the router because of that software. If someone really cared then they can use Wireshark and track everything that you are doing. Since you are connected to their network, they can see everything you are doing.

Lol but in all seriousness, no they cannot charge you for anything you do on your own phone the wifi is free, that means any websites you can access are simply accessible as normal, as if you were at home. The hotel can and will charge you if you watch porn on the hotel television but even then it will be clearly displayed that you have to pay to watch it. So no you're safe to do whatever you want on your phone, the hotel cannot and will not charge you and your parents won't find out unless you forget to lock to bathroom door or something

It would take a while, but yes, they can through the I.P History accessed through your internet service provider.. My solution for you is to download Google chrome if you don't already have it, open it up, click the wrench menu in the corner, and at the top of the menu it should say "Open Incognito Window." Chrome Incognito doesn't save any trace of anything you look at, not even on your I.P History. So they would never find out. But raising further questions, I don't understand what's so wrong with watching porn that they would have to get mad. By average, most parents watch porn to fulfill the void in their sex life. I mean, they probably wouldn't "do it" when their kids are home so they watch other people do it instead.
