Can Someone Explain Conditioned Emotional Response Cer To Me

EMDR or Neurofeedback or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy best for panic attacks?

CBT has been proven to be the most effective way to manage panic attacks for the general population (meaning statistically, it's the most successful). However, using that in conjunction with neurofeedback could be very beneficial. Bio-feedback measures are great for helping manage stress because you get to learn how your body is reacting to various situations, which physical reactions to focus on, etc.. Panic attacks are mentally driven (usually by trauma or some other great source of anxiety) but they are a primarily physical experience. That's what makes them scary, because the person experiencing them feels like they're being taken on a very scary ride. So bio-feedback could be very beneficial. Still, as far as understanding and tackling triggers and sources for the attacks, CBT is amazing.

Why does my anxiety make up of a mix of involuntary AND voluntary responses?

Well anxiety evolved in animals same as everything else- it has a good purpose to try and warn us to run away from an unpleasant or dangerous situation for our own good. So subconsciously your emotional ( limbic) and ancient reptillian brain( reflexive) is telling you to flee out of the blood donor clinic while your neomammalian( cortical brain) says...hold on Mack you're letting the side down...be rational ! Overcome your fear.
It all depends on how badly you want to overcome your fear or how guilty it makes you feel or demoralised. But step back and take a look at it...loads a people are afraid to give blood and hapily avoid....maybe its not a problem.
Cognitive behavioural therapy is the biz really cos we need to learn our behavioural paths( anxiety, depression, impulses) much the same way we learn a poem by repeating the correct thought, the reasonable conclusion in our heads over and over until the longterm potentiation is achieved. Either " forgive yourself" and move on or continue with CBT+/- cipramil etc
Let me tell you a real life story: my brother in law gave blood regularly until one time the needle extravasated his blood vessel and he bled into his arm. He was hurt and scared and he never donated blood again ( flight). About 4 years later he developed bowl cancer and he had to undergo all sorts of vascular procedures such as central lines, peripherally inserted central lines etc. He hated every minute of it but he endured it all ( fight response) until his sad death. His fight or flight anxiety reaction didn't let him down when he needed courage- don't donate blood if you're too anxious, firgive yourself and believe that when you need to be brave you will be.:) Its what nature wants you to do. relax and move on in life

Why are men so much more sexual than woman?

I think because the male sexual organs are external, so sex is not as personal to them so men can have sex all the time with anyone and barely think twice, whereas with women we have to allow a man INTO our bodies, its very personal and serious to us.

We need a name for our cancer group.?

we CAN overcome CER

cer means a conditioned emotional response: an emotional response that has been acquired by conditioning
