Can Someone Explain How To Buy A Ticket For Fyf Fest 2014

FYF Festival 2014 Help!!!!!?

I'm 16 years old and this is my first time ever going to a festival. I already have a couple of friends that I'm going with they are under 18 but we're all teens do i need an adult to go. I need help on what to bring and what I need to do. Do I need to bring a tent to sleep in our something. Also I'm diabetic so will they allow me to bring in my medical stuff and food to eat.

Are music festivals worth the money and hassle?

IMHO - No.  I hate all concerts, music festivals, etc.  In my lifetime, I've seen the following people/bands in concerts/festivals:Lady Gaga - July 2010 - Q Arena - ClevelandHIM - Odeon - Cleveland 2008Linkin Park, HIM, 30 Seconds to Mars - Projekt Revolution - Blossom Music Center, Cleveland - 2007HIM - Columbus - 2005Garth Brooks - Phoenix, AZ - 2000(ish)Carnival - Santa Cruz de Tenerife 1994Michael Jackson - Tenerife - Spain 1992I've probably missed a few, which I may edit in at a later time.I will be going to see Madonna here in Cleveland this coming November.  I have to say, I'm not looking forward to the Madonna concert.  I'm going because--in stereotypical fashion--I happen to like her music and given her advancing years, she'll be breaking hips soon enough and be out of the touring circuit.  May be my last chance. But, I've hated every concert I've ever been to.  Same thing with fairs, carnivals, etc.  I inevitably have to use the restroom at these venues and the facilities are usually spartan and filthy on a level that would warrant a full military bio-containment.  I don't like crowds and I don't like having to hunt for food.  I am a grumpy old man in that I dislike loud noises, including music (I'm the only tool at a concert with ear plugs in - - yeah, I totally embarrass my boyfriend).  I don't like to stand for long periods of time, or sit for long periods of time, and you're locked in to one of them--typically--at concerts.  I hate having to search for a parking spot and then sit in traffic for six weeks afterwards waiting to exit.  I hate the smell of weed (totally grosses me out) and I absolutely hate hipsters, goths, crazy pierced and other weird fringie people (and, yes, I fully appreciate the hypocrisy of an out-of-closet homosexual stating that, but it's how I feel).

What is the best music festival? Why?

Coachella for a number of reasons:1. The length of the festival is a perfect three days, four days if you get there early for the pre-parties.  Personally, anything longer than four days is a little exhausting and overwhelming.2. The amount of music crammed into the three days is perfect.  They stagger each set so that it is possible to catch every act (just not the entire act) if you so dare to try it.  If you did see every act, it would cost you about $1.50 per show!3. There is something for everyone.  Coachella does a good job at having almost all genres of music, so there is always something to go see.  The have blues, bluegrass, funk, rock, electronic, indie, classical (Yann Tiersen played one year), abstract, and even oldies.4.  The festival is on the Indio Polo fields every year which means that the whole thing is on grass.  This fact can easily be taken for granted, but trust me, you will appreciate it so much as opposed to dirt for four days.5. Activities!  Coachella always has so much going on if you want to take a break from music.  There is usually a disco roller rink, LED swing sets, arts-n-crafts tents, air conditioned lounges, silent disco (everyone gets a pair of headphones with a DJ playing all the music), not to mention all the interactive art work around the grounds.

What is the song that instantly brings memories rushing back?

Easy answer. Tina Turner. Whats love got to do with it.When I was young my brothers, parents and I used to go on amazing holidays. We used to visit amazing places and my brothers and I enjoyed the time we got to explore together. My parents didnt have a lot of money but they used to make our yearly holidays amazing. As i grow older and see them grow old it makes me realise just how excellent they were.of the songs I always remember it's this one. Coming on the radio as we drove to Dorset or Wales. All of us singing. All of us happy.Really does leave me with a lump in my throat. I have tried to do the same for my children. To get a song that we always play on holidays which is either some kind of rush by booty luv or happy by Pharrell which we played when we went to the airport for our American holiday. I hope they remember them with the same affection as I do Tina’s.

What is the best music festival in the world?

There are a number of prestigious music festivals in the world that not only attract massive crowds but also the biggest artists and it would be tough to come up with a definitive list. If we were to divide the 10 festivals equally across the two genres Rock and Electronic Music, then the following would qualify as the top 10 music events in the world in my opinion: Rock and Pop:Coachella (Indio, CA, USA)Glastonbury (Pilton, Somerset, England)South by Southwest (Austin, TX, USA)Rock Wechter (Werchter, Belgium)Lollapalooza (Chicago, IL, USA)Electronic Dance Music (EDM):Tomorrowland (Boom, Belgium)Ultra Music Festival (Miami, FL, USA)Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, NV, USA)Exit Music Festival (Novi Sad, Croatia)Creamfields (Daresbury, Warrington, UK)I have talked in more detail about the greatest rock and EDM festivals on my website here:Rocking it up at the world's best Rock Festivals | Eventraveler.comThe greatest EDM festivals in the world | Eventraveler.comThere are, of course, genre specific festivals that should also be mentioned here viz. for jazz:Montreal International Jazz Festival (Montreal, Canada)New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, “Jazz Fest” (New Orleans, LO, USA)Montreux Jazz Festival (Montreux, Switzerland)
