Can Someone Give Me A 10-20 Lined Poem About A Good Lesson At School

Does anyone have a found poem on a lesson before dying?

Better get writing - Here is a definition of found poetry from poetry.org - You can use text from newspapers, books, other poems.

Poetic Form: Found Poem

Found poems take existing texts and refashion them, reorder them, and present them as poems. The literary equivalent of a collage, found poetry is often made from newspaper articles, street signs, graffiti, speeches, letters, or even other poems.

A pure found poem consists exclusively of outside texts: the words of the poem remain as they were found, with few additions or omissions. Decisions of form, such as where to break a line, are left to the poet

Know any good 10-20 line poems?

I'm in an advanced 9th grade language arts class and need a good 10-20 line poem to memorize and recite. I have to be able to interpret the tone within it and express it while I speak...I'm having a hard time finding one. Any good poems that you can think of?

Any good books to learn Korean?

There are those "Korean-in-a-hurry" books and stuff, but what I find to be much more helpful is reading comic books. That sounds silly, but the language is a lot more colloquial and thus, much more applicable (my friend gave me on Aesop's fables in Korean). You can start out with books for much younger kids, so it's easier.

I don't know if this helped me at all, but a pastor once had me copy a few chapters in the bible in Korean. If you get one of those Korean-English bibles, they have the two sections lined up so you can compare the two, I guess. I have to warn you, the Korean's kind of hard to understand.

Talking to people in any language is one of the most helpful factors in learning to speak. You said you have Korean friends, so bring along a Korean dictionary and break free with them. Don't worry about sounding stupid, cause it's great that you're learning to be bilingual. Or go to a place with lots of Korean people (a Korean church maybe?).

How do I begin my speech for an elocution competition?

The first 10 seconds are crucial for every speech. If you go on the stage and the first thing you say is“ Good Morning everyone I am here to speak on this topic…”, the audience will go to sleep because that’s what majority of the speakers will start their speech with, but not you.To make the audience sit up and be attentive to what you are about to say, your opening should be interesting and creative. I can give you a few examples but your own creativity has no limits :Start your speech with a joke related to the topic.Narrate a short story leading up to your title.Begin with a quote/poem.Dress up in an unusual manner. (Only if the competition rules allow it)Carry an object on stage that will catch the audience’s attention.Tell an interesting fact or a stat to the audience.Ask an interesting/ rhetorical question to the audience and ask for their views.Remember that a strong opening will get you the audience's attention, speeches with strong openings are remembered for a long time. But, the rest of your speech should be strong enough to convert the attention of the audience into awe.I hope this helps you, Cheers :)

"Good morning, respected principal, teachers, and my dear friends, " is so common a way to start a morning school assembly speech. What else can I use?

This is a good question. I have answered similar queries earlier.People always prefer doing generalised things. But what makes you stand ahead is your act of doing simple things differently. You can begin with a quote. Something that relates to a fresh start and enthusiasm. This can go as an instance:“ Starting today, I need to forget what's gone, appreciate what remains and look forward for what's next, because what the caterpillar says and end, the world calls it a butterfly.A warm welcome and a hearty good morning to the gathering!(Smile here!) This is ___(your name)__, on behalf of class ___(your class)__ to lead you all through today's assembly.”Move on in a similar manner!Hope it helps.

What books (list of 10–20) should one read to feel well-read and have well-rounded knowledge?

Here some of my recommendations. Enjoy reading them :)The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. “The Secret of Happiness lies in looking at all the wonders of the world and never forgetting the two drops of oil in the spoon.”Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. A great book of the Nobel prize laureate for economics about how our brain makes decisions and how we are influenced by all kind of biases.A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari. Thousands of years of human development clearly and vividly described.1984 by George Orwell. A must read. Its message of a totalitarian regmine that spies all of their citizens’ lives is even more present in our today’s world.Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Similar intention to Orwell’s 1984. Instead of an aggressive regime, the government tries to sedate its citizens with drugs and sex and wants thereby to prevent them from critically thinking. It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis. The original was first published in 1935 and describes how a fundamental Nazi-like leader and his party take over power in the US. The story illustrates how normal citizens slowly get manipulated by the simple messages of Senator Buzz Windrip and he finally gets elected as president. Chaos, concentration camps and eventually his overthrow by a military dictatorship follow. This book exactly predicted Adolf Hitler’s steps to take over power in Germany in the 1930s.The Wealth and Poverty of Nations: Why Some Are So Rich and Some So Poor by David Landes. Very informative combination of history and economics.Lord of the Flies by William Golding. When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. A neurosurgeon who faced death so many times tells the story about his own fight against cancer. Very moving!Animal farm by George Orwell. Orwell demonstrates how a communist dictatorship arises after the whole community overthrew a tyrant and tried to establish equality for all. Must read!

Are teachers allowed to cuss in front of students?

My X grade teacher,”T”, sent our class to the Spanish room in the other hallway that was surrounded by 1st grade classrooms. My class, as usual, were screaming, and misbehaving. I didn’t have any friends since I was new and came from a charter school (and not relating to anyone in school), so I sat somewhere, just watching them interrupt the Spanish teacher every time he spoke. It annoyed me because I really wanted to learn, but I couldn’t with such terrible peers. I felt bad for the teacher, since it seemed like he really had a passion for teaching. There were other quiet students that wanted to learn as well, and were disturbed by the “noisy” group of the class. If I could remember correctly, I believe they interrupted the teacher about 10–20 times. Then, my Spanish teacher gave up on us. Even when he tried to intimidate the class to “shut up”, and notify the principal, they were still throwing paper airplanes, and making a ruckus. He then called my homeroom teacher over to pick us up from Spanish since he literally could not teach. My homeroom teacher came running to the Spanish room, and heard students screaming, and talking very loudly, oblivious to the lesson on the board. My teacher gaped, and he put his hands over his head. Then, he ran out the room and screamed, “F***!” on the top of his lungs in the hallway. The whole class grew silent, followed by gasps. To add more tension, some girl randomly whispered, “Ooh, he screamed a bad word in the 1st grade hallway!”Then, the classroom snickered maniacally. My homeroom had some wild children in there. He was still our teacher after that day.I actually don’t blame him, to be honest. I believe he could have controlled the classroom a bit better, but with an obnoxious homeroom like mine, you are bound to drive into insanity at some point.
