Can Someone Give Me An Idea On What To Do With My Room

Could someone give me Do-It-Yourself easy ideas on how to decorate a girl teenager's room?

I guess the first issue is get permission, and talk about how open the parents are, or if it's an apartment, how much you're able to do.

It's unlikely you'll get any WRONG answers here. The question suggests that to everyone this is a personal preference type of thing.

PAINT is the first place I'd suggest starting, and as you say, household items? I'm not female, but have a daughter. Her ideas were valid, and accepted throughout her childhood. It may have been my house, but it was after all, HER ROOM, her sanctuary, her place to hang out and enjoy those things in her life with a sense of privacy, ownership, security; and her rooms were decorated, or accessorized with things she most enjoyed and/or used.

For years her hundreds of plush animals filled every ledge in the room, as well as posters, candles, statuary, TV, stereo, pictures, and full closets (Smile)

If you're allowed the freedom, talk with your parents about what you'd most enjoy doing, They may even be very helpful in the process.

The good news; most especially for young people; is that our "tastes" change; sometimes frequently; allowing that everything can be changed; even your personal spaces.

Ideas for my boring, ugly room?

It sounds like a GREAT room! Use one side for your bedroom and the other side for a sitting or hanging out room. Make the bedroom side have the bed and dresser(s), maybe a throw rug to make it cozy. Make the sitting room side comfortable with a couch or loveseat or maybe a couple of cushy chairs (if you can get your hands on some that are maybe being fazed out of another area of the house?), or at least some big pillows to lounge around on. If you can't get expensive pillows, then get some inexpensive bedpillows and some inexpensive pillowcases you like, and after you put the pillow inside just sew up the open end. It's big, it's cheap, and it's washable! Since you say the room is really big, paint the bed section one color, and the sitting room another color. As far as what colors to choose, I don't know what colors you already have as far as bed coverings, but you'll want ot pick something that will go with that for the bed side, and something coordinating for the other side. With having two colors, it will make each section look like it's own room, and it will make each side seem cozier. Also, you can make a cover for that window if you want to...just make a curtain that is as long and twice as wide as the window, with a 2" hem at the top and bottom, slide a spring tension rod that is wide enough for the window into each hem at the top and bottm, gather it on, and put it up into the frame of the window. there you go, less brightness! If you don't want to block too much of the light, use a sheer fabric for the curtain. I think you have a GREAT room, and I think you can make it even better with these ideas. Good Luck!

Can you give me a simple Java project idea to do (I’m a beginner)? I want 1 project for every reply, I will try to make every single one of them and send them back to you, as a way for me to train?

This is an excellent question and a great idea.My challenge to you is a text-based game where you move from room to room in a house picking up objects to solve simple puzzles (unlock doors for example but I can give you more puzzle ideas if you need them) until eventually you solve the final “puzzle” to complete the game.Whenever the player enters a room the game should give a description of the room, including listing interactable items in the room, the visible directions of the other rooms that can be reached from the current one and whether a door is currently locked, to the player but you don't have to do any graphics. The user should interact with the game by typing text commands such as “go [direction]”, “look [direction]”, “look at [item]”, “pick up [item]”, “drop [item]” and “use [item] on [item]” and the user should get a message indicating what happened as a result of their command (nothing happening is fine, just say “nothing happens”, “you can't pick that up” and so on).The key components of this exercise are:Parsing users' text input into the correct commands.Tracking many collections of objects, i.e. the player's inventory, the contents of each room and the map of the rooms themselves (potentially).Concepts I think you will need to have a little bit of a grasp of for this:Defining your own classesHandling text inputString outputCollectionsSlightly more advanced concepts I'd probably consider using in my solution:InheritanceInterfacesI appreciate this is a fair bit more involved than most of the other ideas I've seen offered as answers so far. It's an extension of an exercise I remember from when I was learning Java at uni which struck me as having so much scope for extra work and potentially creative input.Anyway, I'll be happy to respond to any requests for clarification, provide guidance and offer ideas if you get stuck. Just grab me in the comments

Is it a bad idea to paint my room blue if I suffer from depression?

Do you love blue? Does it give you peace … or a feeling of love … or a feeling of life, if you imagine seeing blue all the time in your room? I would say you might consider what shade of blue is most life-affirming or joyful for you. So many shades of blue! if your question is asking whether or not you will experience depression if your room is blue, I can’t answer that. But I can say that if you put a shade of blue on your walls that typically makes you happy, you are likely to feel happier having it around you all the time in your room.
