Can Someone Give Me Ideas To Make A Poster On Adult Education Answers Will Be Given Five Stars N

In education, what is the importance of philosophy?

A philosophy of education is a system of thinking about what education is for and how it should be done.In order to know how best to do something, you need to be very clear about what it is that you are trying to accomplish. At first glance, the idea of a philosophy of education seems a little like “well, DUH - it’s teaching the students!”But - what do we teach them? How to do a job? To be good citizens? To think for themselves? To cooperate with leaders? To focus on science? To focus on civics? Art? Philosophy? To balance their lives or throw themselves entirely into what is most important? Important to whom - the student? parents? leaders? experts? Which leaders? Experts in what? And here is the problem: The answer to almost every question of that type is YES. But there are a limited number of hours in a day, and for some of those, YES implies NO to another. For example, in teaching math, we can either give students the exact method to do something, or we can guide them to discover the method for themselves. The first is much faster, and leaves more time for practice. But students forget what they have been told, and remember what they have discovered for themselves. And the process of discovering procedures for themselves trains them to be ready for new challenges.Another philosophical question in math education: do we let students use technology, or do we require them to calculate by hand? Calculating by hand develops speed and efficiency in basic calculations, but takes time that could be used learning more advanced math. And using technology is how they will do math outside of school.Questions like these come up often in teaching and in discussing education. By thinking carefully about these questions ahead of time, we are able to act on, and explain, our best ideas and most important values in the moment. When a student is struggling and a parent is asking why you aren’t doing things the classical way or why you aren’t using the latest fad, you need to have already thought about it. You need to know why you are doing what you are doing, and neither “because that’s how we always have always done it” nor “that’s what this book says we should do” is good enough.

Are infertile teachers pushing the benefits of adoption on their students?

Well, statistically speaking, the amount of "infertile teachers" would probably not be enough to influence society/youth's view of adoption in general. That, and in all my high school days, I never had a teacher mention adoption as a solution to an unexpected pregnancy, and I went to a Catholic school. Most of my teachers kept their opinions to themselves about such things.

That said, most of society has a strange idea about adoption, and I find that I get the same ignorant comments from adults and younger folks alike...Even some people still believing that we walked into an orphanage and "picked out" our kids. Yikes. Crack a book.

The people who post here claiming to be students are probably not. Or, if they are, they are probably not even asking for a school project. They are probably bored adults and teens, looking to ask ignorant questions about adoption without getting tomatoes thrown at them ("It's not for me, it's for a school project!"). I don't remember, in 3 years of high school (I'm in Canada), and 4 years of university EVER doing an entire project on "adoption" as a whole, and I don't think these posters are, ether.

Really keep an eye, sometime. You'll notice that you will get a so-called "student" ask a completely ignorant question, and then 30 minutes later, "someone else" will come in asking how to adopt/give up a child using an uncanny amount of information obtained in the first question.

It's just bored trolls, or ignorant people who don't want to get the troops mad. LOL

Is "standardization" a good thing in education?

No!

Those in favor of standardization assume two things. First, they assume that the standards they have chosen are 'good'. Second, they assume that children come standardized. Both assumptions are deeply flawed.

It is incredibly risky to pick one standard...even if it seems good, how do you *know* that it is? The best way to avoid getting stuck with something that "seemed like a good idea at the time" is to constantly innovate...and innovation cannot happen when there is one pre-determined way of doing things. Experimentation is the only way to improve things, standardization just stagnates.

And, for the record, some of the countries that have the most successful school systems are the ones where there is great diversity in schools. And how do places like Sweden accomplish this? They attach money to the child (not the school district) and allow children to attend ANY school the parents decide on...in essence, much of Europe has de facto voucher systems.

As an older person, what advice do you most want to give to young people? People in their 50's+ generally make very wise or shrewd decisions in life and business due to the their insight gained from decades of experience. That should be shared.

Am I too old to have posters hang up onto my wall in my room?

I'm 19 and I'm a huge fan of Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, Norman Reedus, and Harry styles. I wanna hang posters of them up onto my wall but I feel embarrassed. Isn't only for teenagers to do that? I'm a just a huge fan of all of them.

Why are women so uneducated about the sexual nature of MEN? And they get upset about PORN? Are you kidding?

Well if there was no shame in it then why do men never tell anyone and delete the browsing history on the computer so their woman never find out? For a Christian marriage it is cheating....because porn messes with reality and in turn men then want what they see on the screen to become what they get from their woman. Plus since when is staring at another girls pussy OK in any relationship?? Just because they don't touch it mean it's not cheating? So if a girl at your husband work dropped her pants and spread her legs and let your husband just stare at it would that be OK with you because he just fantasizing?? Men are sexual beings yes that's true...that is why you have a significant other to fulfill those needs! Fantasizing while pleasing yourself is one thing but the images of porn being used to do that is what is wrong. Everyone is entitled to an opinion so just because you agree with it doesn't mean you have to make all woman feel like they are stupid by telling us we are uneducated for feeling that it is wrong. I for one would like my husband to just look at me just like I don't look at anyone but him. I've been married 8 years and he denied watching porn all this time, of course I figured he did at some point but never knew how much until last month when he told me. He knew I never agreed with it and I'm sure he won't stop it either but that won't change my feelings on it. Porn also leads men to cheat because they search for what they see and think it's better then what they are getting.

EDITED: Apparently you are not Christian because only people who aren't have no idea what the bible says....
MATTHEW 5:27-28: "You have heard that it was said to those of old, `You shall not commit adultery.' "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Read up on Christian marriage then you can tell me it has nothing to do with religion. There is no point of religion if you don't live the word.
God bless

What is the role of a school teacher in a student's life?

Teachers play a very important role in student’s life. A teachers is a role model person in student’s life who bring out the best in them and encourage them to strive for greatness. Teachers know that students are the future of the country, So they share the knowledge and helps them to become a better person.I think we need teachers on every step of life. They are not only important for students but also for society. Presence of teachers in any meeting and social activities boost the moral and make the time more valuable. Here are a few thing every teacher needs to do for students:A teacher should be impartial, he/she must treat all the students equally.A teacher or a tutor need to understand their students from different angles, like how much skilled a student is , how much time he take to processes information, how good his memory is or why he does not understand something.He/She has to think of solutions to help the students to overcome their problems. There are different kind of students, some are slow in learning, some are fast learners and some are average students. Generally teachers, do not like to explain a concept again and again to a student. So a they must be patient enough to deal with such students.Every teacher need to have these essentials qualities. They need to be calm, enjoy their job and realise its importance.
