Can someone revise my short college application essay?
Heres the prompt: 1) One of Ramapo's goals is to increase your capacity for learning and to teach you to think "outside the box." Describe an experience that has had a significant impact on your intellectual development. Essay: A couple of years ago my parents would always be complaining that the garage was a mess and full of objects that only took up space. My father in particular always wanted a shed but never seemed to find the time to look into acquiring one. After observing this for most of my life I felt I owed the favor to my parents to fix this problem. This of course caused me to think “outside the box” due to the fact that I was about to attempt to build a shed and would only have one week to complete the task. As my parents were headed to Florida to visit my grandparents I immediately began drawing out plans for the process of building the shed. I called my neighbor to assist me in buying the appropriate materials and in the construction itself. Each day I ran into a new problem such as pieces not lining up and weak support beams. At that time I had to problem solve and continue to correct and improve my plans. As the week flew by, the progress of the construction followed suit. I was nearing the end of the project and the deadline was drawing closer and closer. Finally after countless hours of hard work and dedication with all the adjustments in-between, I had completed the building of the shed. My neighbors glared in amazement as I stood proud and admired my work which I considered a symbol of the kind of person I am. I concluded that with a persistent attitude toward any situation and the determination to work through obstacles, any objective can be accomplished. Thank you so much. Can someone help me to write a essay about computer in everyday life (max 250 words)?
I agree with the answer that says to look this up online.I also have another suggestion, if you are able to do it. Ask a senior citizen who was part of the computer revolution what it was like to live before computers existed.(I know. I started writing in that long ago time. It was a whole different world! A typo ruined an entire page and there was no such thing as on-line research. You spent a lot of time in the library or visited or called every single source and jotted notes on a piece of paper. Which is why I decided to write fiction. Because I lived in the wilderness and research for non-fiction articles was simply too hard. But that was just me, as a writer. Talk to people who worked in offices back then.)Then compare that to what it’s like now. That’ll say a lot about computers in everyday life.Hope this helps.

If you base your response on the past 12 months, then, "no", the economy is in a recession and most people are too short-sighted to see beyond it. America will be the first country to emerge from the recession. With that said, a century is 100 years long; long enough for Americans to regain their sense of economic power. I expect that after these large companies finish downsizing, the American entrepreneurial spirit will return and we will see small businesses sprout all over the place. We will also see new "frontiers" in areas such as geriatric medicine and nanotechnology evolve. Americans will be at the forefront of all of these booming enterprises.

Taking a walk outside may help, or listening to thematic music, drinking tea, asking for advice from friends or peers. There is no reliable cure for writer’s block haha, but you can try a lot of things.

As the answer from Them says, it largely has to do with how prepared those countries (or, frankly, any country anywhere) are prepared for self-rule. That can involve a tradition of democracy or representative government. It also has to do with what structure in the country exists to resolve disputes. And if that's what determines violence or a peaceful transition, then what could have been done is establishing those traditions, practices, and structures in place and giving them time to take root before becoming independent. Just a personal observation, though: That motivation really has to come from within. "Nation building" from the outside simply doesn't work. From Vietnam to Iraq, the lesson is that you can't impose a democratic structure (especially one with a Western model) on a country without such a tradition and expect it to work. Hope that helps.

Some suggestions... One of the major factors for me when applying to colleges was the study abroad programs available. Change "was the study" to "were the study" Syracuse University’s Discover Florence program greatly interests me. I have lived half of my childhood overseas and Syracuse University would allow me to continue my fondness for experiencing other cultures My dream is to become an independent, successful and well-educated woman. I believe that Syracuse University can help me achieve these goals. Syracuse University strives to create successful individuals such as the Vice President Joe Biden and Robert Jarvic, the inventor of the first artificial heart implanted in a human. I hope to follow in the footsteps of these inspirational individuals. Syracuse University breeds excellence; a trait in which I strive for. Coming from a low income family, I am interested in assisting kids who also come from low income homes and encouraging them to strive for their best in school. I was given the rare opportunity to live overseas for half of my childhood. Changing from public schools to Department of Defense schools gave me the chance flourish academically and realize what I want to do with my life. Other children should have the same chance, without fearing that they are not smart or rich enough to pursue higher education. Every child deserves the opportunity to do well in school and to attend college. Best of luck!
