But there is this store called cardvolution.com that is based in Singapore, they ship around the world. So you could try getting your decks shipped to Dubai. Do magicians prefer plastic or paper playing cards?
It can depend a lot on the type of tricks or flourishes a magician is performing, but generally speaking, most magicians I know definitely prefer paper. The weight of the card and the finish are extremely important. To a large extent, that’s because any cards the magician picks up should perform exactly as expected. They should move smoothly across each other when fanned or shuffled and they should feel the same as the “standard” or common deck that they’ll run into. Most magicians are more than willing to use any borrowed deck so that spectators can see that they are, in fact, perfectly ordinary, ungimmicked decks that they are performing with. Hence the reason for practicing with standard decks.The “standard” playing card deck that most magicians use these days and that all others are compared to is the poker sized Bicycle deck by the US Playing Card Company. Being such an incredibly common deck, magicians know what to expect when they pick them up, and audiences recognize them as the ordinary deck they’re used to seeing. Those are paper cards with a linen finish.I imagine there are ways of making plastic cards today that perform the same as paper ones, with a finish that resembles the linen finish (or in the jargon of the the USPC, “air cushion finish”) of Bicycle cards, but I am yet to find one that feels the same to me. There’s actually a plastic deck sitting next to me that’s pretty good. But the cards just don’t move smoothly across each other. And of course, one of the benefits given for plastic cards is that they last longer and don’t tear. But there are a quite a few tricks out there where magicians intentionally tear, burn, write on or otherwise destroy cards in order to magically restore them, or let a spectator easily identify their card later. Those effects are lost with plastic cards.

Excercise is a good one. Especially running. I like to get up really early in the morning during summer while the temperature is still slightly on the chilly side and start a five mile run through the cemetery and to my grandmother's house. By the time I get home it's just starting to heat up and I don't even need sunscreen. I never EVER thought I would be able to run long distance but I guess my will to learn trumped my love to be lazy.Arts and crafts is another good one. You don't have to be creative to do arts and crafts. Fold a coerced piece of paper, glue a feather on the front of it, trace the feather with a white colored pencil and there ya go: a thanksgiving card. Hahaha. But in all seriousness, this can greatly improve your abstract thinking and creative abilities.Join a team. I know, I know, this sounds ridiculous. But you can join an online team. Try Strava! What you do on strava is you log when and for how long you exercise. Excercises include running, biking, swimming, hiking, skiing, treadmill/eliptical stuff, walking, skating, kayaking, rowing, rock climbing, yoga, wheelchair stuff, weight training, racing, and SO MUCH MORE!!! You could even just log something as a “workout”. The strava app is free and there are numerous watches you can buy to track your location and the intensity of you excercise if you want.Learn something new. Have you ever learned how to tie knots or how many countries there are and where each African country is? Try learning the flag of the USA or a timeline of a certain century or decade from a specific culture. Possibilities are endless and so is your capacity to learn.Hope this helps ;D
