You give the person the e-mail address that is on your Paypal account, they transfer the money and you see it in your Paypal account online. You can then move the amount in to your own normal account. If you are selling something do NOT send it until you have the money for a couple of days in your Paypal account / have successfully transferred to your normal account. It has happened that people pay with forged credit cards, and the money is taken out of the Paypal account after a couple of days.
