Reading previous answers first, I see one says to play Solo, not Squads. Other says opposite. hehe Gotta love Quora! :D…IMO: Like with many things, I try to learn what I see from others in the game, be it with direct shootouts, watching fights from afar, in squads/duos, on YouTube/Twitch, etc.I’m not a great builder, but occasionally I do make some good builds which I later feel good about…. though usually I’m more of the fort raider, looking for a way to jump into your fort. :PI don’t win often, but I do get in the Top 10 a lot (and no, I’m not a bush camper. hehe).…I suggest you don’t worry about wins, but go to some place like Moisty Mire, Wailing Woods, Junkyard Junction, etc… gather resources and practice making builds and act like someone is coming from X area. So you quick build and position yourself “for the kill/defense”. If you aren’t alone, then either try to get them anyway possible… or maybe hide, let them leave and then practice alone.You’ll obviously die most times, if you can care nothing about the storm…. but your confidence should grow and little by little (or fast), you’ll get into real situations and do better.Again… not everyone has to be a good builder to win or get kills. And practice those shotgun kills, as shotguns are too good. Whether with double pump or not, but still a killer weapon.Good luck! There isn’t any way to ‘get them’ to do it except by negotiation and rational or emotional arguments.The other ‘someones’ are colleges, foundations and agencies that provide grants and scholarships, and you ‘get them’ to do it by filling out applications.
