Can Someone Hgive Me Advice Where To Buy Cheeper Used Oboe Or Give Me One As A Gift Many

I was given a first act clarinet and?

It's been gently used. It was a gift, I didn't buy it. Now I've played it a couple times (and I'm a total beginner at the clarinet, been playing it less than a month) and it sounds and works okay.

It's plastic. I don't understand why people bash first act so much. Does anyone besides me have first hand experience with them and call tell me what's so supposedly bad about that brand of clarinets? Thanks.

Is astral projection true? If so, has anyone done it? Is there a standard procedure?

Hi,Thanks for A2A.ASTRAL PROJECTION or A.P. is obviously and doubtlessly real and true.Because I have experienced it myself.I know how it feels, how it is like to be in astral world, how it is like to float over your body far far away from your regular course, regular portion of life.Let me give you short introduction about it. Astral projection is not an easy-peasy experience to experience .You have to spare a lot of time, practice a lot, meditate a lot, work with your chakras a lot, keep patience to experience it.Some are born with the natural habit of astral projecting. They astral project every now an then and even spontaneously but we,the ordinary fella ain’t born with this gift.We have to practice a lot in order to reach that high level. At least I had to go through a lot in order to experience astral projection. For your third question, yes there is a standard procedure. Also, there are more than one procedures starting from monroe method, rope method, hammock method to wkae induced method. But,this one is my personal favourite → → → →You start with relaxing your body, muscles, mind and then let go all of your thoughts.with time your mind becomes less responsive to the outside world and you enter a hallucinating state commonly known as Hypnagogic state. With time your body becomes numb and heavy. You enter sleep paralysis. If you carry on, you enter a deeper state commonly known as pre-obe state.Sooner or later you feel your heart thumping against your chest and your body itching very badly. This sensation is intolerable and makes you move.BUT,if you manage not move and not to think a single thing, you get deeper and vibrations catch you.First, you will feel electricity shots running all over your body. It’s not painful but a quite enjoyable state.A buzzing sound generated from your inside accompanies these vibrations. With time they increase and make you go shake as if you were in an earthquake and you start to feel yourself being lifted upwards as if someone were lifting you.You finally come out of your body. This is how ASTRAL PROJECTION is done. Also have a look at these other methods→”66 methods to astral project”Let me know if it was helpful or not and don’t forget to upvote and comment.Hope this helps.

As a high school violinist, how can I develop perfect pitch? How long would it take to develop this skill?

I disagree with most of the answers to this question, so far. This probably stems from the imperfect nature of this ‘skill’ regarding musical understanding. So, I seriously doubt that you can or will develop perfect pitch at your age. Both of my children have PP, but they grew up with two parents who were practicing and performing music pretty much all day long. We discovered that they could name any note they heard, including natural sounds of all kinds. They can also produce any pitch at any octave without the use of a tuning fork, etc. That is what most musicians would consider to be perfect pitch.Neither my wife nor I have PP. Both of us started music lessons later than what is considered to be the ‘perfect’ age to attain PP. The exact year of a child’s development for this ‘gift’ is up for debate and might never be calculated. As a professional violinist, I developed a good sense of relative pitch. I can sing a 440 A if and when I need one, i.e. no piano or oboe or tuner present. To be honest, I’m glad I do NOT have PP because I enjoy Baroque music performed on early instruments, where the group agreed A pitch is closer to 415 Hz. That drives my son crazy, for example, because he must constantly transpose the music in his mind.My recommendation to you would be to focus on training yourself to play in tune. That would be my definition of ‘perfect’ pitch. If you can develop that skill, you will be much closer to becoming a professional level violinist, if that’s your goal.

How can I convince my parents to let me learn another instrument?

I'm 15 years old, and I play the guitar and piano. I joined percussion lessons last year, mainly for helping with my piano and mallet percussion playing. But I have been learning drum kit, and I am very much enjoying it. I've also been playing harmonica for quite awhile, but didn't take lessons for it.

Anyway, I have recently gained an obsession over alto saxophones. I mean, seriously. I've been watching a lot of videos on youtube, and I have literally fallen in love with them. They're such funky instruments!.
I really, really, really want to learn how to play it. I know that it's something I will stick with. Although it's hard to find good teachers where I live, I think I would be able to learn via internet, or buy a beginners book.

Anyway, when I told my parents about this, they completely disagreed with me, and said "But you already have guitar, piano, and percussion....You don't need to be learning another instrument.."
I begged them, but they wouldn't allow it.

I understand that saxophones can be quite costly, however, I have a job, and would be happy to pay for everything myself. I have even found a few alto sax's on ebay that are quite cheap (and good-quality)

Anyway, I really want to play alto sax, but how can I convince my parents to allow me to buy one? Oh yeah, something I should mention. Since I got a casual job, my mother has been SO serious about me 'saving' money. I'm not really saving up for anything in particular. She hates when I buy things that cost over $50. Even if my parents allow me to learn another instrument, how can I get past this?
Oh yeah, just because I want to learn another instrument, doesn't mean I'm giving up guitar or percussion. I'm going to continue percussion lessons at school, and since I'm in the school band, I have a good reason to continue it. And I love my guitar, as it was the first instrument I ever learnt, so I would NEVER give it up.

Sorry for the length guys :) Anyway, thanks :P

How do I become knowledgeable on classical music to the point where I can discuss it in a conversation?

“How do I become knowledgeable on classical music to the point where I can discuss it in a conversation?”I just saw how long this answer is. Please bear with me. It's a subject I like so I can be quite loquacious about it if you wind me up. I think the information is a good propeller to get you where you want t
