What is the most underrated TV series in your opinion?

To be very frank there are many TV series that go unnoticed and I feel bad for them because even giants like major TV streaming networks don't push them enough. There are enough TV shows that fly under the radar which if you watched you would never need to see any big shows again. So I'm not going to bore you with a long list of shows. But I will mention a few that I personally liked.1. Top of the LakeThis is a detective series led by actress Elizabeth Moss and made by the brilliant Jane Campion. Moss returning to her hometown after a tragic incident with the town is assigned a case by the police to find the murderer of a girl who's cadaver was found in a travel bag in the sea. The mystery unfolds at at surreal slow pace(in good way) and this case will take a toll on her personal as well as professional life. Binge it, You will fall in love with it. Recently a season 2 came out but it wasn't as good as the first one.2. ManiacsMade by Cary Joji Fukunaga who also made True Detective return to television with a bang. This miniseries Starring Jonah Hill and Emma Stone has the most weird plot, where these two are brought together by a fraudulent drug testing company and spans 3 different dimension where in their dreams are controlled by an AI. Watch it closely because you might lose track of the plot very quickly as it takes drastic turns after the first episode.3. Manhunt: unabomberI went into it unknowingly hoping it would be good but the first few episodes disappointed me. Gradually it picked up good pace and ended with a bang so huge that I'm still picking up the debris from my mind. This is a real story if a bomber who had a 3 digit iq and was impossible to catch as all of his targets were random sending them bombs through the post. He is evenly matched with our protagonist as he tries to find the unabomber through his “handwriting”Try to watch these and I know they are many but let me warn you these aren't snacker shows that you can watch while travelling or in between breaks. You'll have to pay attention to the details and then you will enjoy them.If you enjoy these series let me know I can suggest some more.Cheers…

Anyone explain the mystery of the number 2178?

Alright. I've been trying to figure this out for years. I'm hoping to gain some insight into this unique number.
Let me set it up.
Take a number, any number (4 digits is good, because so is the number I'm going to be working with, but it works with any).
I'll use 2349 (picked at random).
Now, because the number is positive, we'll subtract. We are going to subtract the digits in opposite order. So:
2349-9432 = -7053
Now that the number is negative, we will ADD the digits in opposite order. We'll continue to do this until we notice a pattern. Bear with me.
-7053 + 3507 = -3546
-3546 + 6453 = 2907
2907 - 7092 = -4185 (etc, let me just give you the answers now that you know the process)
1629, -7632, -5265, 360, 279, -495, 99, 0
That's my point. When this process is used, nearly every number imaginable goes to 0. Try it yourself!

EXCEPT 2178 and it's derivatives:
2178, -6534, -2178(!!), 6534, 2178(!!)

Do you see what I mean? Does that make sense?
Can anyone fill me in on why it's unique?

Does anyone know super junior mystery 6?

it isn't real.

it is just a fictional story done for entertainment purposes.

if it was real, i'd be really terrified of what is going to happen to donghae...

but it isn't real.

Is the Food Network program Mystery Diners staged?

Mystery Diners is like a lot of so called reality shows. They shoot hours of footage of the "real" events as well as a lot of incidental "b-roll" footage and then they heavily edit it to create the version you see on TV including changing the order of things and choosing to highlight specific things. At the very least they add voice-over narration. Some of the footage they shoot at the time may be scripted by the producers in anticipation of expected outcomes. In the case of Mystery Diners they almost certainly re-shoot some of the events after the fact for various reasons like use of profanity, brand names showing in the shot or just a need to jazz up the storyline and some or all of this may be scripted. If you watch the show it's also pretty clear that some of the scenes are "reenactments", some critical events may have happened off camera or been poorly shot. However the most likely reason for reenacting a scene is because the producers have been unable to secure releases from one or more of the people who appear on camera.Any show like this needs to secure permission from the people who appear on camera, there are methods that shows like this use to secure generic media releases and non-disclosure agreements before shooting begins that usually involve cover stories about the business involved making training films or advertisements or something like that. However there are almost certainly cases where this hasn't been possible for various reasons and it becomes necessary to reenact one or more scenes using actors to avoid showing un-released people on camera and exposing the producers to potential liability. It has been reported that in at least one of the episodes the "crooked chef" who appears on camera is an identifiable actor which implies that a significant chunk of the episode is a reenactment.

Should I continue to watch True Detective after being generally bored after 3 episodes?

I'm a fan of McCaughey, I was excited to watch this show earlier, but I had to try hard to finish first 3 eps despite of the good acting. On my opinions,1-3: slow, very slow. If you not only love cop/intelligent show and but also want some dramatic, not here.4- half 6: good. However, the problem is you cannot jump into the middle and feel good, finish 3 eps please :)6-end: back to slow but you won't get sleepy because the murder is about identified. However, if you know that thing is not the point of entire the show, you will have shortfall.

Why does Fargo (the TV series) repeatedly emphasize that it’s a true story — when that obviously isn’t true? What’s the artistic significance of this?

"Not out of the realm of possibility" is certainly a relative term here... Let's talk another title that uses the *true story* phraseology that is anything but... Scorpion. Most of the things depicted there not only did not take place, but largely *could not take place* outside of the context of their fictional world (and certainly not within ours, let alone ours at this point in time). The phraseology *true story* is misleading and manipulative designed to providing the "characterizing flavor" (to borrow the vernacular of a certain Supreme Court case that hinged entirely upon the use of misleading or manipulative phraseology) of something that is taking place in *our* world instead of it's own universe as is the case with many stories. Let's take Fringe for example... Largely implausible things taking place all the time in places that most people will recognize. The implication is that they will view it's stories as "despite saying that they're in Boston, they're in *their* Boston, not *our* Boston."Having stories like Fargo, Scorpion, Paranormal Activity, The Fifth Estate, Zero Dark Thirty, Captain Phillips use the phraseology *true story* overcomes that moment of disbelief to say "it's happening right down the street", whether or not specific events did or did not actually happen. The problem is of course that writers, producers, and production studios have realized this trait and used it to allow them to overcome that hurdle and let complete BS that largely wouldn't fly due to being completely implausible pass by unquestioned by the masses because "they said that it was true, and they can't lie, can they?"And that is ultimately the problem, it damages the credibility of the word *true*. A *fact* shouldn't be something that is subject to interpretation or variability of "well, this is how I saw it" or worse "It's real to me." You know what else is real to some people? Frozen.
