I sent a message offline on Facebook messenger and I deleted it immediately. Will it still send when my phone is turned online?

Can someone still see messages sent on facebook while their offline on their phone?

Ok, so there is this girl I've been talking to for a while and we are good, however today I found something rather srange I sent her a message and she didn't answer it, that wasn't strange because she is a very busy person and sometimes she doesn't see them. The odd thing is I sent her the message while she was online, a little bit after she left, and on her facebook chat that cellphone symbol appeared whit the time stamp next to it, now when the time stamp reached 24 minutes, she saw the messages. Now if she left facebook24 minutes, just like the timestamp next to the cellphone symbol said how come she has seen the message? Does it mean that she turned off her chat and she is still there? Can you still check new messages with the facebook messenger app, even when logged out of facebook? Please help I don't think she would ignore me, so the only possible explanition I could find is she logged out of facebook, 24 minutes after she noticed a notifcation on facebook messenger and saw the message even though she wasn't logged on she still received it and saw it, please help, I don't think she is ignoring me but if she is I have to know. So can you receive and read NEW messages on that you received on facebook while online, but then read them later on facebook messenger?

If you send a facebook chat message to an offline friend, will they still get it?

Yes, they will still receive it. Facebook chat has merged with facebook message so they are the same thing. If you send them an instant message and they are offline, they will still receive it. The next time they are online, the message will be in their inbox folders which they can then reply to. Oh, and even if you close the pop up window- it doesn't make any difference whatsoever as to when they will receive it. Don't worry, they will get the message!

I agree, the new chat does suck. I preferred the old one, but thats just my opinion!

Hope this helps. :)

What does it mean when one is shown as offline but my messages to the person on Facebook Messenger says that they are delivered? Does it mean is that the person is actually online?

If a message sent through Facebook messenger says sent, does the other person get a notification?

It depends on their settings and what platform they are using. It also depends on what platform you are using and how it indicates to you that it is sent. Are you seeing the check-marks on your mobile device? Or the word “sent” on your computer while you are logged into Facebook? As someone else said, the check-mark in a while circle means they have not been notified. This can be because their phone is off, they have notifications off, or they have no signal. Sometimes it shows just for a moment because of normal delay. The check-mark in a blue circle means they might have been notified. The message has, at least, reached their device. If they have notifications turned on, they should know about your message. However, just yesterday, all my notifications stopped for no reason. The sound just wasn’t sounding and the icon wasn’t appearing. When I opened the messenger, my incoming messages were there, though. I restarted my device, and I started getting notifications again. If the person’s picture is next to the message, they have read it.If you are logged into Facebook, and it just says “sent,” it doesn’t tell you whether they have received it or not. This is the same as both the white and blue circled check-marks. If it says “seen,” it’s like the person’s picture. They have viewed the message.

How can I read Facebook messenger messages without showing a "read receipt" for them?

It seems like every messaging app these days, from iMessage to Facebook, insists on sending "read receipts" letting people know that you've seen their message. This can be annoying. Here's how to turn off the feature in some of the most popular apps.Disabling read receipts for Facebook messages is super easy on the desktop, but there's nothing you can really do for the Messenger app. That said, you actually have a few options for disabling the "Seen" messages if you're using it on the desktop:FBUnseen: If you're on Chrome, this extension disables the read receipts anytime you send a message using Chrome.Unseenly: Unseenly is a Facebook app. Once it's installed, the read receipts are disabled.Adblock Plus: If you're an Adblock Plus user, you can add as a custom filter and it'll block the read receipts without having to install an addition extension or app. Just add this URL to your block list:For now, it seems like you're out of luck if you want to hide the messages on mobile, so stick to the desktop version if you're ignoring someone in particular.
