Can you tell when someone has turned notifications off for your messages on Facebook Messenger?
Yes you are able to do so when you attempt sending the message and are notified that the messaging option for that person has been turned off for you.This means that your friend on FB has gone into their messaging options and selected the wheel icon located in message box with the message/chat history the two of you have exchanged on prior messages or on top of the blank box that pops up when you select their name to start a chat or message (blank because you have never sent or received in the message/chat format) and your friend has selected block message for you. And when they pick that option on the wheel icon you will be notified they have indeed selected that at some point when you attempt to send them a message and are notified the option has been turned of for ...you.
Where did the Yahoo News Comments Notification Icon Go?
I know. Yahoo news really screwed that format up. I don't why they changed it, it is awful now. You can go to the news story's that you commented on, and click on ''my comments'', under the news article. It's in the left hand upper corner. You can see all of your comments like this. You might wanna keep some of the news story's book-marked. Sorry, I can't find the ''comments notifier'' anymore either. Yahoo needs to stop trying to fix things that are not broken.
Where are my yahoo comment notifications?
When I comment on a yahoo article and someone replies or thumbs ups it I used to get a notification on the top right of my screen when looking at another yahoo article. Since yahoo's new design, this box no longer exists and I am therefore not getting my notifications. I know I should be getting notifications because I have checked back on my comments and seen replies, etc. Any ideas? The response to "where are my notifications" on yahoo's help page no longer exists. Go figure.
How to remove HIDDEN icons from Notification Area on Windows 7?
I just built a new pc, and being foolish, downloaded 7zip, which i thought could open .rar files. With this application, i downloaded several other things as well such as browsersafeguard and other such spyware!! I successfully deleted all of them, and completely removed them based on various instructions. The only thing thats bothering me now is that they are still in the "hidden" area of the notification section. What i mean is that i still see their icon when i click on the arrow, and hit customize. They all show up, and say hide icon and notification. I want to completely get rid of any trace of these softwares, HELP!!

Sometimes when I get an Instagram notification I open up Instagram and nothing shows. Why is that?

How to get rid of the Facebook "Update Waiting" from my notification bar on my phone? (Android)?
So after the last update to my facebook app, I get this notification on my phone sometimes if I like a post or something...I already have notifications off in my settings in the app....how do I get this annoying notification to go away and stay away? I can't even clear it from my notification bar.
WhatsApp shows message content in the notification bar. How can I make it show only new message notifications? I don't want message content or a preview.
You also go to the following settings under Android 7.0 and above and do as follows.Get to settings > notifications > Choose Whatsapp > select “on lock screen” and choose “Hide sensitive content”.
How do I turn off notifications for Quora? The app is not listed in “Notifications”.
I had this issue. If you disable the notifications in your Quora profile (in the IOS app, anyway - not checked any others), it removes Quora from the notifications section of Settings, but doesn’t actually turn them off!! It still badges the icon and you still get the odd thing appearing in your notifications history, etc.If you turn the notifications ON in Quora, then it appears in the Settings app, and you get back control. You could turn everything off except the “Allow notifications” bit, and that will finally remove Quora notifications. Personally, I HATE the icon badges from hysterical, pressuring apps like Quora and Groupon, so I turn that off for starters, and remove that crud from my lock screen too. If I want to see them, I will open the damned app!
