Someone sent me this picture, can you please tell if it's original or a duplicate?
You can do Google searches for images. If you choose Images from the Google search page or go here: Google Images, you will see a camera icon. Either click on that and choose Upload Image or simply drag the image there and if there are other copies on the internet, Google will find them. (Don’t ask me how it does this, I find it completely amazing, because it can’t be by matching the content of the pixels, since it will find images of different resolutions, colour casts and even significantly cropped or expanded versions. Google is probably using aliens with highly advanced technology at a secret site, otherwise it seems impossible.)(If your operating system/computer and/or web browser is too old, you might not be able to do this.)I did the search with your image (after dragging it off to my desktop) and it so happens in this case that there are many web pages where that image appears, so it is very likely that whoever sent you the photo did not take it themselves but found it on the internet.

I assume you're talking about the large-ish semi-transparent circles. Looks like lens flare to me. They're pretty distinctive, since, if you look closely, you'll see that in all of the pictures, they're slightly diagonal from a strong light source. They're even more noticeable because they're against a black (or dark) background. You get them whenever you have a lens pointed off-center from a bright light source. They're caused by impurities in the glass of the lens and differences in the refractive index between the air and the lens. The better quality the lens, the less likely you are to get them.

For too many years Denmark has been allowed to carry on a barbaric and meaningless tradition that involves the brutal slaughter of over 1000 dolphins and whales annually.The hunters first surround the pilot whales with a wide semicircle of boats. Then they drive the whales and dolphins slowly into a bay or to the shallows of a fjord. When a whale is in shallow water a hook is placed in its blowhole so that it may be dragged ashore. Once on land or immobilized in knee-deep water, a cut is made across its top near the blowhole to partially sever its head. The dead animals are then dragged further to shore after the remaining whales have been likewise killed.This happens every year in Feroe Island in Denmark. In this slaughter the main participants are young teens.WHY? A celebration to show that they are adults and mature!These intelligent mammals don't die instantly and suffer a long death in the red stained waters.
