Can someone tell me what Dane Cook's hand symbol means?
The SUperFInger or SU-FI is a hand gesture. It consists of raising the middle finger, ring finger, and thumb on the same hand while lowering (or curling) the index and pinky fingers. Cook's website explains his idea behind the SU-FI: “ One night I did a bit on stage about 5 years ago at the Laugh Factory. I was talking about how the finger is lame now and it's lost its pizzazz. I said I wanted to upgrade the finger and so from now on people should use both the ring finger coupled with the middle finger. I called it the SUperFInger (or SU-FI)."

The only meanings to the song that I can give you are my own personal ideas of what it could mean ~to me~. The first time I heard it, I felt like it was about struggles with religion. Especially where you hear in the lyrics "God, help me, I've come undone." At the time I first heard this song, I was having some problems and was basically begging God to give me a sign that he was real and not just some imaginary friend (could be what the song is about)... Since then, however, I've given up on God and religion and the lyrics have 'changed' to mean many different things. Rather than the lyrics relating to God, I see them being about inner struggles with a person's own consciousness, battles with severe depression/drugs/alcohol, personal relationship problems, or even just the result that time has on our lives. Good lyrics can be twisted by the listener to mean tons of different things. The lyrics are just asking somebody for help with something... Sorry if this wasn't what you were asking for.
