Can Someone Tell Me Why People Don

I like people off all backgrounds can someone tell me how being racist is good for politics?

Neocon Republicans have been using Nazi play books to inflict their ideology of hate in America since George Bush has been President. The Bush administration encourages this into their take over strategies..The Democrats will put a stop to them and they know it, so they attack their enemies and feel a need to dehumanize other races to get their way.

Why do people tell me their secrets?

I guess it's mostly because you have the ability to keep quiet and listen to others. It's a very valuable skill and if you look closely around you, you'll find people full of thoughts, emotions and things to talk about. People (want to) talk much more than they should and having you around gives them a great opportunity to vent it out. It is also possible that based on your behavior, you are perceived as more trustworthy and reliable.

Why do people say "Don't let anyone tell you otherwise" when you can't stop anyone from telling you otherwise?

You seem to be taking the remark too literally. By someone telling you not to let anyone tell you otherwise, it is actually a compliment to you. In other words, say you're down on yourself because you didn't get a good grade on a test. This makes you feel inferior and negative about yourself. So along comes your best pal and says, "You're a lot smarter than you think. You just weren't prepared for the test. Don't downgrade yourself, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.". Naturally, you can't stop other people from saying things, unless you bop them over the head. So what the expression means is just not to take that remark seriously.

Can someone tell me the appeal of heaven?

"Why can't we just die and be dead?"

That's what happens!

You say:

"I am content with the idea that you die and that is the end. I am a very logical thinker, and I can't comprehend anything other than that."

That's almost correct. We die and that is the end of OUR life. But we (and all life forms) go on as part of another life form.

Life is a never ending cycle of birth>life>death then the remains (minerals and chemicals) of the life form are taken up by another life form and in this way each of us lives on, as part of another life. We are not aware of it, but this does give our life "purpose" in that we give sustenance to another life form when we die.

It's a cycle that's been going on ever since life on Earth began and will continue for millions of years more.

Gods were created by humans because people couldn't understand that there was no "purpose" and that life was a process applying to ALL life forms on earth, from the single cell creature to the tallest tree on the planet. All life on earth comes from the same original DNA of a single cell creature and all life has evolved to what we see and know now and will continue to evolve as life adapts to environmental change, just as it always has.

Humans thought that they must be something "special" because they were more advanced than all of the other life forms surrounding them. So they invented a "creator". An invisible being that created all life on earth but made humans something special and different.

There is no spiritual mystery about life on earth. It is just that. Life.

How do you deal with people who tell you you can't do something?

You don't have to prove anything to anyone. Let them think you "can't do it" as much as they want, let them think that ALL DAY LONG!! At the end of the day, the only person whose opinion matters is YOURS! The reason you want to learn how to deal with them is because what they're saying about you hurts your feelings, so you're trying go get their validation to prove you are worthy. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how wrong, rude or aggravating it may be. At the end of the day people are always gonna think what they wanna think and believe what they wanna believe. I know it may piss you off, and you might want to clunk one of them over the head for thinking the way they think about you, but our reaction to other people's opinion is a sign of us needing others to validate us. Do things for yourself and accomplish goals in your own time, but don't rush just to prove them wrong because if things don't turn out the way you want you will end up bitter. Do things for yourself and not to get validation or to prove others wrong. Do things because it makes you happy. You don't need anyone else's approval. If these people are too negative, remove them from your life because you deserve peace of mind. If you can't remove them, don't tell them your plans.

Why do people tell me their problems but I can’t tell them mine?

It must have something to do with your personality. I face this a lot with my friends and even people whom I’ve known for very short while. I’m more of a listener than a talker and somehow people notice it and once they notice it they start ‘pouring’.It makes me feel very happy when people do that. Though it takes time away from me, I feel glad I’m helping the other person lighten their mental load. These days everyone one has so much on their head that there are very few who can listen. This is where we come in.So, we are in demand! If you have time, listen to people and help them :)

Can anyone tell me what song goes on about short people?

Randy Newman's Short People
Sample lyric:
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
To live

They got little hands
Little eyes
They walk around
Tellin great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, I dont want no short people
Dont want no short people
Dont want no short people
`round here

Why don't I believe any positive things people tell me, but I believe the negative?

You may be insecure about something. Are you afraid of losing your job or are you afraid of your neighbors or your competition or so on. You may feel that you are not worthy of the appreciation and rather believe the negative comments they pass. A classic example is, say some of your office colleagues are standing at a distance and talking. Suddenly they look at you and continue their talk. Now, you start thinking that those guys were talking about you and your performance. So how to deal with this insecurity? Believe in your abilities. There are a lot of ways to do this. I will give you a few of examples. They may resonate with your current situation or may not. The important thing is you got to try.1. Outperform yourself. Perform at least 1% better than yesterday. Finish tasks a few minutes earlier than usual. Show up a few minutes earlier than usual etc.2. Do the thing what scares you the most. If you are afraid of your boss, then go and talk to your boss one-on-one about some issue which is bugging you for a while. We are humans and we all have some problems. I am sure he will make some time to listen to you. Afraid of your lavish show-off neighbors? Go to their house and talk to them as close family friends. your confidence will push them a step back.3. Listen to your calling. You may be stuck with a job you are not fond of. Or you are envious of your adventure prone college buddy. Or you are jealous of your friend who rose to fame by writing a blog about some lame social issue. So, what is stopping you. Take a break and go on that adventure trip you always wanted to have. Finally I will leave you with a quote from a movie I liked a lot. (Movie name is "Green Street Hooligans". Watch it if you haven't yet.)The protagonist. Elijah Wood says, "Once you've taken a few punches and realize you're not made of glass, you don't feel alive unless you're pushing yourself as far as you can go."Be alive.
