Can Someone With College Experience Motivate Me I Want To Go To College But At The Same Time I

What motivates you to go to college?

There are several things that make me eager to go to a university.
The most important reason for me is the experience of meeting all those people that cluster in each school (each college has a particular kind of people that select to attend there). I go to a highly competitive high school, but going to a most selective university will be very different from my previous four years, because top universities attract the students that spend time learning about the topics about which they care. In high schools, students take courses because they want to fulfill requirements and look good for colleges. In college, apart from core curriculum, students take part in classes which they enjoy, which makes a huge difference for me.
Another important aspect is the resources that universities offer to their students. Top schools hire professors with experience in their fields. I look forward to being able to use the university's libraries and connections with national and international organizations. Although some people argue that one can get knowledge just by reading books at a local library, just knowing or even understanding some material cannot get person far. In order to advance in one's life, an individual has to know how to articulate his or her thoughts, make connections, solve problems, and apply the available knowledge to practice.
College just makes it much easier for a person to get to a desired place in one's life, to make each dream come true.

What is your biggest motivation to attend college and get a degree?

Why does anyone go to college? In the past it’s always paid off by allowing choices in careers with generally better pay as opposed to limited jobs with lower pay. My biggest motivation to attend college and get a degree was to avoid poverty and avoid having limited job choices! Life is hard enough so why make it harder by not preparing yourself as best as possible before tackling adulthood? Getting a college degree before you marry, start a family and take on major responsibilities is a wise decision. My folks both worked extremely hard and did not complain but finances were always a struggle for our family of seven. We had the necessities but they were the very basic of basic. My father had a third-grade education and my mother an eighth-grade education. For my father, going to school beyond this was not an option as he had to start work at a young age to help support his family since his father had left them. Life was hard and there was no money for extras. He worked hard and gave us the opportunity to go all the way with our education which all five of his children, myself included, did. Why struggle more than you have to? Do the smart thing and get a good education while you can!

What is the best way to motivate yourself as a college student to go to class?

Simply create a plan you're confident in executing. Encircle yourself with others that has matching drive force.Have fun, it's college. Remember:Networking is an essential part of building wealth. -Armstrong Williams

What are your aspirations and motivation for attending a college or university?

First of all, I think the college experience is a necessary one. Not only academically, but also socially. It will be a great time and place to meet people that are interested in what you're interested and who are working towards a better future. The friends and boyfriends I will meet there will award me with incredible, unforgettable experiences.

Secondly, EDUCATION IS ALWAYS A GOOD INVESTMENT AND NEVER A WASTE. My parents taught me this. When you educate yourself, not only do you become a better person, but you also find and define yourself the way you want to be. One learns from everything, and learning is always a positive thing.

In addition, study abroad is gonna be amazing. Could you image, seeing different places and different countries? Learning in college and outside expands your mind and awards you with knowledge about yourself, which is something that will always be appreciated.

Plus, in order to know that you have a positive future, where you will be able to afford the life that you want and the life you want for your children, you must educate yourself. It's the best.

In order to have the life I want, the people I want around me, and in order to become the person I want to be, college is my best bet.
BE EXCITED. College will be an awesome thing. If you're considering it, DO IT. You'll learn things about the world and about yourself that will shape you as an amazing human being forever.

What's the point of college now that the internet exists?

I can think of nothing you can learn in college that a sufficiently motivated person can't learn from the internet.

College doesn't teach you skills (unless it's a trade school, but I'm talking about regular colleges),you get that when you get a job..

The only point of the school itself seems to be getting the piece of paper that tells other people you learned it.

Am I missing something or is this just college now just one giant, super expensive, scam?

What is the best way to stay motivated for high school and college?

I believe staying motivated is a habit and habits are created through repetition. If I could go back and tell my 13 year old self anything it would be, “TURN OFF THE TV and read a stack of books instead!” Get in the habit of obsessively collecting knowledge and wisdom. The easiest way to do that is to explore other people experiences. You live in a time where the sum of humankind’s experience is at your disposal… USE IT!Does that mean if you read books you won’t have a down day? Nope. Life is a collection of peaks and valleys. The difference between those who succeed and those who languish is simple; Do you decide to lay down when you hit a valley or do you climb to the top of the next peak? Reading/collecting knowledge helps to even those peaks and valleys out by exposing the reader to tools others have used to make it out of the valleys. They wrote it down for you to use. You're a fool if you don't use it.I gotta go read a book, see ya!

Does anyone regret going to college??

No, I don't regret going to college. In fact, I feel very lucky to have been able to attend a 4 year university right out of high school. Its an experience that can't be replicated - even by people who try to go back to school years later.

To be surrounded by a group of your peers and have unlimited learning opportunities available to you. Not just book learning (which is important, of course), but also learning about yourself, life, the world, your peers. Who would want to pass that opportunity up if it were available to them?
