Can The Vet Deal With My Dogs Poop

How do you clean up dog poop that is.....?

Frozen & stuck to the ground?!

There's snow/ice all over our back yard, and every time my dogs poop, it immediately sticks to the ground! Even to the frozen dirt. So now there are dozens of piles frozen solid to the ground.... In some places, I can't even break up the ice with a shovel to get it out!

How can I get the poop up?!
My only thought so far would be to warm it up with a hair dryer so it will un-stick and un-freeze, (but that's just plain disgusting!)

Why is my dogs poop white and hard?

Vet checkup. The first and foremost cause is lack of hydration. Not enough water. And this is probably an internal problem rather than how much water your dog drinks.

When I say internal, I mean kidneys. Make vet appointment now.

Interesting......eating a lot of marrow or rawhide......if this is the case with your dog, stop it and see what happens within the next 48 hours.

If this is not the case? Vet appointment.

Small maggot worms in my dog poop?

Sounds like your puppy has roundworms or tapeworms. The small maggot like pieces that you found in his poop are segments that have fallen off of the worm.
Don't give him heartguard for this. Heartguard is for preventing heartworms, and should only be used when prescribed by a vet.

If you can afford it, then take your pup to the vet and let them deal with the worms. They will be much more successful at getting rid of them than you could be alone.

If you don't think you could afford the vet, go to your local feed store, and ask them for wormer. I would recommend that you buy something that just takes care of roundworms and tapeworms. If you get something that does more than that, it could be harmful to your puppy.
Give only the recommended dosage for your puppy's weight. And follow it up with another dosage two weeks later. If you still see worms in your pups poo after the second dosage, you may need to give a third one two weeks after the second dosage. But make sure you read all the instructions, and if you're not sure about something, then call up the number on the bottle and ask them.
Above all, be careful with your puppy. And continue giving your puppy wormer every six months as a preventative.

My dog hasn't pooped in a week, what should I do?

You should definitely have him seen by a vet. Is he straining at all? Is he urinating alright? Is he acting normally? Have you changed his diet or done anything different? Whatever the case, you need to have him seen by a vet. They might recommend a laxative, but you can’t just grab one over-the-counter because you need one that is safe for your pet. And there are also things like pumpkin pie filling that can help with constipation, but you first need to find out what is going on with your dog. If you treat him for constipation and there is a physical blockage of some kind, that could make it ten times worse! So, take him to your vet. Soon.

How do vets give dogs stool samples?

They have a long plastic stick with a loop in the end that looks like a large plastic needle sort of. (It is not sharp, though!) They put the loop end in the anus and pull feces out.

Another option is to have the owner collect a fresh sample and bring it in.

today my puppy pooped in the hallway and his poop had long skinny worms can i cure him my self or do i need to take him to the vet? Also he sleeps with tow other dogs of mine can they get them too just for being next to the puppy? only answer if you know what your talking about please thank you

Orange colored dog poop?

My dog has orange colored dog poop with mucus in it, as of today. He has had diarrhea for a few days. I took my cat to the vet yesterday and told her that my dog had diarrhea, but was acting normal. She said to switch off Taste of the Wild (since both animals are on it and both have diarrhea.) I pulled the TOTW, made them both fast for 24 hours, then started the chicken and rice diet. My cat is responding well. The first stool my dog had after the chicken & rice was firm and normal. Today, however, his stool was extremely mucusy and orange.
He is not acting bothered by it at all. He is eating, drinking, and playing like normal, he just has some diarrhea.
I plan to keep an eye on him for a few days, and if it persists or gets worse I will bring him into the vet.
Has anyone dealt with this before? I have seen on other message boards that it could just be the switch in food, but other people always say their dog is acting really sick, whereas my dog isn't. I've seen my dog sick before, and I know he's not now.
Perhaps it is colitis, or as stated before, a switch in dog food?
Please don't respond with "TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE VET NOW". Like I said, my vet is aware of his situation and wasn't concerned, and he is acting and eating completely fine. I'm just seeing if someone out there has dealt with the same situation.
