Does all cardiovascular exercise improve endurance for running?

I want to be able to run 1 full mile on my birthday (about a month away). Last time I ran, I could run a little over 1/2 a mile (I've never been good at running, but I can easily walk for miles.. don't know why...).
Right now, I'm doing PopPilates and following the workout calendar. It's Pilates, but it's fast paced and every workout has a little bit of cardio in it. So I'm doing about 30-40 minutes of strength training with Pilates 5 days a week, plus 10 minutes of HIIT. I spread my workouts out throughout the day so my muscles can recover a little bit between the workout videos.
On 1 day a week, I do only HIIT for 40-50 minutes, but I spread it out throughout the day (because it burns my legs). The HIIT videos are about 5-10 minutes each, and I do 1-2 at a time.

Is what I'm doing going to improve my cardiovascular endurance so I can run farther? Or do I need to add running to my workouts?

Does "6-second abs" really work? Can it really make u lose a size in a week?

Every exercise regime also requires some kind of diet to go along. If you burn those extra calories exercising, plus cut 200-500 cals from your diet a day, you will burn and lose that much faster. And that doesn't mean you have to count cals, but you can leave some bites of food on each plate, decrease serving sizes, drink more water or diet pop, limit desserts to 3x/week instead of 5, etc.

How do you promote testosterone?

Just wondering if there are any vitamins or pills you can buy that help to raise testosterone levels. Anyone know? Other than going to a doctor and getting shots? My son-in-law has low testosterone levels.
