Can We Able To File A Complaint In This Case

Can i find out if a summons and complaint was filed against me?

In all states, if a summons is issued, it has to be served. How that happens is up to state law. In some states, a summons must be delivered by the sheriff or other law enforcement official. In others, it may be sent via certified mail and in still others, "nail and mail" (taping a copy to your front door with a regular mail copy sent as followup) is allowed. If you have moved since incurring this debt, a summons may be served by publication in a local newspaper (again, dependent on state law).

You should not have called the collection agency. Doing so started the statute of limitations on the debt since you acknowledged that you owed it.

In short, it sounds like a scare tactic, but don't be surprised if they follow through. Call the clerk of the court in your county of residence (or if you have moved from the county where the debt was incurred, call the clerk in the original county) to see if there is anything on file for you. It's a common tactic of debt collectors to send a summons to an address that is old. Then they go to court and get a default judgment and the next thing you know, your wages are garnished or your bank account emptied.

Where can I file a complaint against Ticketmaster?

There is nothing you can really do but report them to BBB. Even then I doubt that will do any good. One time I got a bill on my CC from a third-party merchant and didn't know for like 8 months. It was like $8 a month, which somehow I missed it on my bill. Anyways, seeing as to how I remember the concert I bought tickets for and that I didn't sign up for any of their third-party advertisments I know I got shafted. They gave my CC information to them because I know I didn't willingly partake in the transaction.

Now I just don't buy from TM because I can't trust what they will do with my information. Basically that's all you can do is give them no more of your business. There are plenty of other reputable ticket companies that give good deals.

I did get a portion of my money back but the rest I couldn't because of the statute of limitations. Taking them to court at that point would not be worth it for the minimal amount of money stolen from me. I think maybe a class action suit would be great because TM takes advantage of a lot of customers. A dollar here and a couple of $100 there from the millions of customers and over time it builds up a lot of profit for them.

Is it possible to call the police and lodge a complaint if your neighbour plays loud music in a PG in India?

A2A :Yes Dial 100 or any relevant police assistance helpline number and they will act on your complaint. As opined by other Quorans, there are various laws related to noise pollution and nuisance to deal with such situations. In my opinion, you should first try to talk to the people causing noise pollution, request them to turn-down the volume. If you have done that already, then you can proceed with police complaint. It would be better if you can call the police at the moment when the noise pollution is taking place, so that they can take stringent action on the spot. In case of repeated breach of noise pollution rules/law, the police is also empowered to seize the equipment/instrument causing noise pollution.Former US President Abraham Lincoln once said,"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can."PS: Section 268 of I.P.C. deals with such situations. Any act of breach of sound/noise pollution laws/rules is punishable by fine under Section 290 of IPC and repeated breach (i.e.) continuing breach can lead to imprisonment upto 6 months, or fine, or with both as per Section 291 of IPC. Section 133 of the Cr.P.C. empowers Police to seize the equipment causing noise pollution.

How do I file a complaint against an Army recruiter?

Hello, everyone. I'd first and foremost like to say, that the circumstances in which my question regards is by no means without merit.

My home situation is not the best, and has deteriorated to a degree in which I wished to find some form of autonomy for myself. It had been my life long goal to get into the military, to which I decided I would try and pursue early. Therefore, I contacted my local recruiter, whom in which seemed very understanding, and told me about the requirements in which I must meet to go active duty in the Army at 17. He explained that I would need my GED, a good score on the ASVAB, and to pass a personality test. I informed him that I would be interested in taking this route, and promptly left school. However, a month or so after I unenrolled from school, and begun getting my GED, they called me into the office, only to inform me that I would not be able to join under my circumstances, GED or not, or even if I scored excellent on the ASVAB.

Because of the degree in which I was misled, I now have my GED(to which I spent lots of money trying to obtain via test fees and whatnot), and am basically out of luck in terms of joining the military without college credits. I would have no problem with this if I was a rich kid, or had the time/capacity to attend college, but unfortunately I do not, and by recommendation of an Army officer I know, I am exploring means to file a recruiting complaint, and subsequent enlistment as a resolution.

Can I file a complaint against a non-for-profit homeless shelter?

First off, I want to say, I believe you and I'm sorry you are going through this.

Yes, you can file a complaint but I wouldn't expect much to be done about it. I'd suggest you look up the organization behind the homeless shelter and direct your complaint, anonymously, to the person or persons in charge. I suggest you complain anonymously because complaining may get you kicked out of the shelter. There is a chance, albeit a slim one, that the person, persons, or organization associated with the homeless shelter will care that shelter workers are abusive.

Homed people expect you to accept any level of indignity shelter workers would dole out to you but they are wrong. To those who think shelter workers are all paragons of virtue, I suggest you check out the first link in the sources below. Shelter workers sometimes steal, verbally abuse shelter users, sexually abuse users, say sexually inappropriate things, and deny entry for the most trivial of reasons.

To the homed people criticizing this PERSON for objecting to being verbally abused and for seeking to do something about it I ask you to ask yourself why you think it's OK to verbally abuse people who happen to be homeless? And to those questioning a homeless person getting online to ask a question, have you considered that it only takes a few minutes and could be done in between stages of an online job hunt at the public library? Why should this human being put up with abuse? You do know that you and your family are only one job loss or one major illness or injury away from homelessness if you are a typical American, don't you? Would you suddenly lose all value as a human being if, for instance, your child developed kidney disease and the medical bills bankrupted you into homelessness?
