Can You Be In Parks At Night

CAN YOU PARK YOUR CAR OVER NIGHT AT A GAS STATION?

Your cars a piece of junk you`d be better off letting it be towed away for free. Its not worth the gas to tow it.

I want to go to the park at night?

I would like to go to the park at night and look at the stars while listening to new age music on my ipod (I would feel like I'm in heaven) but there's just one problem. My parents won't let me go. Why? My park is only 2 houses away from me! There is probably one reason why my parents won't let me go to the park at night they said "There could be creeps hanging out there" I think maybe that could be the reason why my parents won't let me go but could there be others reasons why my parents won't let me go to the park at night? Could there actually be a way to go to the park at night? I would like you guys to answer.

Can you camp out in a public park for one night?

I don't know where you live, but my town has several public parks & all have signs stating when the park closes. No people are allowed from 10:P - 6:A. This is to prevent crimes during the dark; to save city money by not lighting park at night; to keep parks from being "homeless" havens.

Call your City Parks & Recreation Dept.
I think if it was illegal the police will most likely just ask you to leave unless you were in the middle of an illegal act at the time they arrived.
(SEX = Public lewdness / illegal drug use / urinating in public / open alcohol container on city property, etc.) Then there might be an arrest.

What is it like walking through Central Park at night?

I live near the entrance at 78th Street on the east side and walk through Central Park after dark nearly every night because dogs can be off leash after 9 PM. I've never once felt unsafe.I also have a bad habit of keeping my headphones in, and count on my dog to keep anyone from approaching me by surprise. The only other people I see are other UESers walking their dogs. I've never even seen homeless people sleeping in the park -- I don't know how the city keeps them out, but they're entirely absent. It's very peaceful at night and you feel like you have the whole park to yourself. I always look up at the big, expensive buildings lining the park and note how few windows are lit up. It's almost like nobody exists except you. This is a feeling otherwise impossible to obtain in New York.

Playing loud music at night at a local park?

Starting around 6 to maybe 9 or 10? There's a "park" by my house, but it's really just a big ol' stretch of land covered in grass. My friends and I are thinking of having a sort of anti-prom/rave thing, where we just play music and let people get together and go crazy without spending as much as they would if they went to the (really really cheap) school prom.

I'm worried about what the neighbors would do, even though we have a couple of houses that throw loud parties every month. I figured, since they do it so often and no one has called the police... am I allowed to do that, too? Their parties usually go on until around 11 or midnight.

Should I not walk through Central Park at night?

There are a few things to consider about safety and Central Park at night:The Park closes at 1:00 AM and opens at dawn. You can be given a summons by the NYPD if they see you during this period. Having said that there are probably quite a few people around. During my years as a Central Park Conservancy Tour Guide I was told by a Parks Department manager that they estimated that at least 20 to 30 homeless people camped out in thePark during the warmer months. This being New York the rules are ignored a good part of the time and it isn’t unusual to see people crossing the Park late at night. The cross town busses that connect the East and West sides of Manhattan are notoriously unreliable at the best of times and almost non existent late at night. So yes there will be people around after 1:00 A.M. but you should avoid the Park after it closes. The New York Police Department maintains a precinct just for Central Park. The NYPD maintains 77 precincts for all of the city and the Central Park Precinct is ranked as the safest in terms of the record of reported crimes.Of course no one really lives there so it is an unusual case but the record belies the reputation of the Park being inherently dangerous. I used to tell visitors as we walked through the Park that we had or would pass at least a few undercover Police Officers.I believe the Park is safer than ever before and the NYPD does an excellent job of safeguarding Park visitors. This wasn’t always the case but things have improved enormously.A few guidelines to walking in the Park at night:If you see people around and you are in a well lighted place you are probably reasonably safe. Places to walk that I recommend are the Great Lawn, Bethesda Terrace and environs, The Reservoir and Strawberry Fields. Just to start with.If you don’t see people around and it is dark get out of that part of the Park as soon as possible. Late at night after dark certain parts of the Park can be quite dangerous. The heavily wooded areas like The Ramble and The Ravine in the North Woods are not safe. People i.e. predators lurk there and you can be a victim. Period. End of discussion. Ask any cop and they would agree with me. Don’t chance it even with another person. Leave these areas for daytime visiting.Central Park is at it’s most romantic and enjoyable in the evening and will be perfectly safe if you are reasonably cautious and aware of your surroundings.Have a great time in the Park!!!

Can you use 2 for 1 vouchers for Thorpe Park on Fright Nights?

Advanced booking is for 28-31st only. you don't need to advance book for 22nd October.
The Whsmith vouchers have block out dates of 23-31st October.
I spoke to the booking office and they said that they couldn't see why the 22nd wouldn't be ok if the voucher says 23-31st but to phone Guest Services Support on 01932 577123 just to make sure.

I'm in the same situation as I also have the vouchers and want to use them on the 22nd but everytime I phone the guest service number no one answers. I hope you have more success and if u find out for sure please let me know.

Where can you find the best night skies in Yosemite National Park?

There are so many places to get a great night view in the park it's hard to go wrong. Really, I've walked into the field between Curry Village camp and the valley stores, peering up over the shadow of Half Dome and had a great view just a few steps from civilization. In the busy season, park rangers lead a star tour at the emergency helicopter base above Crane Flat. It's a rare chance to drive right on up, includes fun narration and is incredibly dark despite being near another facility.Of course things only get better leaving that world behind. The parking lot at Tunnel View outlook from Glacier Point (accessible by car in summer), the top of Sentinel Dome (moderate but short hike). Go north of the valley and you'll find turn offs on the road to Crane Flat with stunning views, more as you head east towards Tuolumne and some absolutely amazing water meets mountains meets open skies at the eastern border of the park. But the really great views are going to come by getting outside of the established / valley region of the park. Yosemite's backcountry is absolutely massive and almost entirely free of buildings or even tents. Just imagine wandering well above Half Dome, setting up camp and taking photos from your sleeping bag with the view to yourself all night long! Here's a few sites with tips as well:National Park Service  Yosemite Park Stargazing  Best Places for Star Gazing? - Yosemite National Park Forum
