After years of discussion, Buffalo police will start wearing bodycams later this month, after the Common Council’s approval to purchase 550 of the devices. Bodycams have been touted by police and citizens alike, for essentially the same reason—they show what really happens when police encounter members of the public. Unfortunately, they don’t always. The video recordings are often subject to interpretation, which has in many cases.However, having some evidence is better than only the word of the officer against the word of a citizen. When they are rolled out in Buffalo in the coming weeks, they come with a set of rules for their use.Here’s a summary:The cameras must be on any time the officer responds to a call, including:Any call for serviceAny traffic stopDuring execution of a search or arrest warrantDuring any arrest or custodial stopWhile conducting investigatory activities, including any search of a person, vehicle or propertyDuring a foot pursuit or vehicle pursuitWhile conducting traffic controlWhile assigned to a protest or conducting crowd controlDuring confrontational or adversarial contact with a citizenAny other situation deemed necessary by the police commissioner or the body camera administrator.

All the Doctors & law enforcement officers that may have smoked marijuana…but NEVER inhaled….all answered the question regarding have you ever used drugs without a prescription or recreational drugs…. NOBecause the ones that said yes are entertaining different career's. My step son answered yes to marijuana use, screening doc wrote down as cocaine use… and immigration application ended there when the interviewing INS officer read that in report. I was able to get medical report corrected…and his file was approved… but marijuana is still illegal on a federal level…and last I looked immigration is handled on a federal level….hope this helps.
