Why are the Beatles so famous?

Oh let me think for a minute.Once upon a time long long ago in the middle of the last century in a place called Liverpool a young rebellious teenager named John Lennon became enamored with Rock and Roll especially Elvis . He got a group of his mates from school together and formed a skiffle band called the Quarrymen. He got them a gig at the Woolton School fete where they would be performing for the first time.John had a childhood mate named Ivan Vaughan who went to a different school where Ivan had a mate named Paul McCartney. Ivan knew that Paul could play a pretty mean guitar and so invited him to meet him at the fete to watch his friend John and his band.So Paul comes to this fete and is totally impressed with the look of John. Ivan has him come inside where John and his band are having a beer and preparing for the next set. Ivan introduces them. They have a bit of the stinging back and forth wit they will become known for and Paul plays his guitar. John and his band are impressed, very impressed. In fact John is so impressed he's afraid if he asks Paul to join his band he might have competition as leader, but sets that aside.A few months later Paul brings George Harrison to meet John, he auditions on a bus and John takes him into the group even though he's a kid. Add Stu Sutcliffe and then Pete Best. Enter Brian Epstein as manager.Stu died at 21 in Hamburg, he'd left the band to go back to art school, ironically the Beatles (as they were now known) were on their way back to Hamburg.In Hamburg they met Richard Starkey aka Ringo Starr. John, Paul and George loved his drumming and personality. Back to Liverpool Brian has set them up with George Martin who is less than thrilled with Pete's drumming, the boys take the opportunity to drop Pete and add Ringo Starr.Lennon and Paul McCartney write most of the music they perform, George writes as well.They are like an alchemical formulaAccording to Brian EpsteinPaul is the heartGeorge the soulJohn is the headAnd Ringo the blood and body.It takes all four of them to be the BeatlesSeparately they are immensely talented individuals but together they are phenomenal, a force like nothing before nor since and they conquered not just the musical industry but the whole damned world. Everything changed in the blink of an eye.And that is why they are so famous.
