Can You Define Success For Me

How do you define success?

Success (to me) has to do with how YOU feel about your accomplishments, not how others see you; setting goals for yourself and doing your best to meet those goals. I was taught growing up, no matter what your profession or situation in life, to be the best 'toilet cleaner', 'car washer', 'dishwasher', etc. you can be. It's making the best of what you have and always moving forward with a goal in mind in those areas you would like to be successful in. Following through with your aspirations and dreams, even if you don't get to the "top", you've worked hard to succeed. This is what being successful is to me.

How do you define success in a job?

My definition of job success would include the following criteria:

1. You find the work challenging...not stressful or an over-the-top inundation of work, but something that gives you a sense of accomplishment at the end of a project.

2. The pay is comfortable and commensurate with your experience, expertise and lifestyle.

3. There's a certain level of respect in your role or in your particular area of expertise.

4. There's room for advancement --not necessarily on a managerial or hierarchial level, but in the sense of being able to do and learn new things

5. The work environment is pleasing, including the people you work with and the physical condition of your surroundings (e.g. you're near a window and not stuck in a sea of alike cubicles).

Define success and failure?

Do the results match expectations (success, YEAH!), or not (wtf)?

How can we define success/ failure?

How will you define success and failure? Please take a deep breath before continuing to read this answer.Success: Is when you are aiming for anything in your life and when you achieve it ( no matter how small and useless it may appear to other people) that’s when you can claim to be successful. Let me take you to a short journey. For example, you want to get married at the end of this year and before 2018 ring a bell you achieve your dream. That’s success, because you did all your best to get what you wanted.Failure: If you took your time to understand the meaning of success then you can easily tell what failure mean too. It’s like saying boy and a girl. They are all people, but have different sex organs…same mother…same womb. Failure is when you couldn’t meet the deadline or making your dreams come true. Not getting exactly things which you wanted can be considered as failure. After that being said, you still have got more chances to improve yourself in order to turn failure into success. The secret is to keep trying by taking different ways.Good luck!…hope this helps.Thank U for the A2A too.

Can you define success in two words?

Yes: “SELF-ACTUALIZATION !!” ( Is that one word or two?)In Maslow‘s hierarchy of needs, self actualization is the very top of the pyramid of human needs. It is how I define success.Maslow‘s model works like this:Your physical needs like food, water and shelter have to be met first. This is the basis of the pyramid.Second comes your safety and security needs, including basic employment.Love and belonging comes next. Friendships, intimate relationships and being part of a group.Next comes Self-esteem: This includes attributes like respect, status, recognition and a feeling of accomplishment. The pinnacle of it all is Self Actualization: Reaching for maximum potential. Being all you can be. Feeling like you have found your life’s purpose and are living it to the full. Here’s the million dollar question: If you have accomplished everyone of the steps from one through five, wouldn’t that make you successful? I believe it does.Notice that this has nothing to do with a money or a specific occupation or way of life. It is universal. It can be accomplished in any occupation with any amount of money and any lifestyle. That is the good news here. You can be successful wherever you are because most of what success is, is internally sourced. It comes from within. It just takes a little bit of practice and the right skills to tap into. This is what I strive for; helping people move up that pyramid. My goal is to help individuals move from wherever they are, to get to step number five. And by doing that, I am living my own fifth level of fulfillment and Self-Actualization.If you were interested in learning more here’s my website. Here’s wishing you your own Self Actualized Success !

What is your definition of success?

What "Success" Is. To Me.

To have the ways, means, time and guts to choose and follow my own path.

To dissolve the line between who I am and what I "do."

To make decisions based not on fear, guilt, money or politics but rather what truly feels right.

To have much love, passion and fun in my life.

To be healthy in body, mind and spirit.

To have enthusiasm when I wake up, and peace of mind when I go to bed.

To use my unique gifts in a way that makes a positive difference in many peoples' lives.

To inspire and motivate others.

To be able to make people laugh -- including myself.

To know that I'm on the right path and not alone in my journey.

To live with the understanding that "getting there" isn't half the fun, it's most of it.

To make the most with what I've been given.

To take advantage of every opportunity and face every fear.

To live having true friends and die having no regrets.

To be able to experience death not as a "grim reaper", but rather as a welcomed sleep after a good, long day.

I hope this inspires you to define and achieve your own life success. Whatever that may be.
