How can I stop an envious girl from making up stories and spreading false and nasty rumors about me? I've tried confronting her several times and nicely too, but she would deny it and would be so nice and bubbly when infront of me. But the moment I turn my back she stabs me again. She fabricates lies about me. I'm surprised at how so many people in my neighborhood and in my circle look at me when they see me. I feel like the woman with a Scarlett letter. Every time I find out about a rumor spread about me by her, I would confront her, but she would deny it. Then she will do it again. I dont know how i will stop this, nor how i can defend myself from all those people who see me as such a wicked girl. When none of what she says is true in the first place. I cant just go up to those people and start explaining myself, without them opening up to me first. They have already passed judgement and see me as how this girl has painted me to be. I feel so bad that I couldnt even defend myself.

Yes!! I do it..I did it many times.. for fun and seriously also.I use make up story about “ I have boyfriend” in college. I was not having any .I told some of my colleagues .. I m married and my husband is dead.In one interview view also I told.. I am Christian.. I and show my normal ring as marriage symbol.Ahhhh.. I told many people I m not person from earth.. “I am from Mars”.To scar some people in dating site.. I said I know black magic. I scared many..( I just red some blogs in magic and I college we tried some spirit board and seen girl form Kerala was doing some weird rituals.) All that I mix and match they believe also.If anybody mess with me over phone..I ll scare them about cyber crime.. I don't know anything.. just all I do to get ride and keep them little sacred about me.I recently tested who I like so much.. by showing some well body builder proposing me.. (he really proposed me) but when shared that with that idiot.. he don't care..I understood “ he is not serious about me” !! Very disappointed.But your story.. I feel , she is being honest. To not make it complicated in future. Be careful , may her purpose may be something else.

How do I make my stories longer?
I'm not sure why you want your stories to be longer. Generally, I advise people to make the stories as long as they need to be. :)Having said that, if you want to try to write longer work, your going to have to choose stories that will be, by their nature, longer stories.Longer stories often have more characters. Each character has a story within the story, and those stories need space to be resolved. Those characters don't have to be major characters. You can still have one main character. But if your character is running around with a best friend who is painfully shy, then the parts in the story where the main character helps him or her either be okay with being shy or helps him or her find safe situations to be more outgoing, then that's going to naturally lengthen the story.Longer stories have layered conflict. In addition to the main conflict, you can have minor conflicts. The character may be struggling with a divorce that's going badly, but he or she might also have minor crises that crop up and have to be dealt with, like a sibling that lost his or her house, or maybe it's something positive like he or she is going to be a new parent and desperately needs someone to help prepare the way, organize a baby shower, etc. We all have complicated lives and the more complications, the more pressure (and more story) you'll have to work with. Even if it's a genre story like fantasy, make sure that these additional complications feel natural and fit in with the world. As fun as random 'plot ninjas' might be, it's more interesting if the conflicts all work together and create a theme, or counters to the theme.Make sure you have plenty of try-fail cycles. When you present a character with a problem/conflict, don't let them off the hook by letting them solve it on the first try. If you really want to be cruel, you can even make their first attempts to fix it make things even worse. (Be careful, though ... unless you're writing comedy, you want to avoid making your character look like or act like an idiot.)Hopefully that will help you get started!

Can you make money writing short stories?
Writing short stories is a different skill set than writing novels, and it wholly depends on your genre as to whether you can make actual money at it. There are quite a few professionally-paying markets in the SF/F genres ( I can think of eleven off the top of my head), but only a couple in the mystery genre, for example. However, that saying about taking ten years to become an overnight sensation is true, and making an actual living by writing short stories (unless you were incredibly prolific--like, writing one 5000-word story a week--and sold everything you wrote, and even that's only $13,000) would be quite difficult. I'm sure it can be done, but you'd be an outlier if you did. That being said, making a living writing novels isn't that much easier. Most writers have day jobs, even writers with successful series under their belts. Write because you love it, and consider any money made a nice bonus.
