Can You Drive Mini Dirt Bikes In Public Parks

Can you drive a dirtbike on the sidewalk?

i am 16 and i have a 50cc dirtbike that i want to use so i can drive to my friends house as a joke. do u think i would get in trouble driving it even if i have a helmet? i know if i was a cop i would just laugh seeing someone ten times the size of the bike riding around. ( i am way too big for it but i can still drive it easily)

Is it legal to drive a 50cc dirt bike on the street without a license? ?

I'm getting a 50cc dirtbike, I know you need a license to drive one over 50cc, but I want to drive it on the street, I know it needs to be registered but after you do all the bs like lights and mirrors, do you need a license to drive on public roads on long island NY

Do I need a license to drive a dirt bike? I currently live in Arizona, I am 17 and I have a driver’s license. Do I still need some other license to drive an ATV (four wheeler) or a dirt bike?

If you want to ride these vehicles on private property, you don’t need any license at all.If you want to drive them on any public highway or property, you do need a motorcycle license for the dirt bike, and a driver license for the ATV.As a matter of fact, if you try and drive a dirt bike or ATV on a public highway, you would probably get a ticket even if you DID have an appropriate license, unless they were properly registered, licensed and insured for travel on public highways. You might get the dirt bike licensed if it had appropriate equipment, but very unlikely that the ATV would be able to be registered and licensed, and I don’t know of any insurance company that would give you such a policy.

How can the police put an end to illegal dirt bike riding?

In most cases dirt bike riding is perfectly legal. If it’s a private property owner worried about trespassing they can utilize the police but beyond that it’s perfectly legal and nothing to be concerned about. If the police just started regulating things because people don’t like them “purple hair makes people look funny!” and we started making it illegal it could turn a free society into being a very not free society. Most dirt bikers have passed the registration needed for off highway vehicles or have permits to ride in the forest, if they are on private property they probably have permission. If it isn’t your private property and you aren’t sure if they have permission you can safely assume they do.Luckily dirt bikers don’t cause any trouble anyway just riding around and the police are extremely busy investigating crimes beyond simply “dirt bike riding” the idea resources should be spent to track down private property owners to ask if they have given dirt bikers permission to ride on their property is wasteful when people can choose to ignore them instead. If they don’t have on a helmet and helmets are required the police can do something about that but even if you don’t like them they are perfectly legal in 99.99% of cases because it’s just dirt bike riding not something illegal.

Can you drive a ride-on lawnmower on a public street? Why or why not?

Generally no. If you are mowing your yard and you need to pull out onto the roadway to turn around then you almost certainly will not be cited by a police officer. But if you get hit by a vehicle while you are on the roadway then it will probably be your fault. Also for what it’s worth moving the grass next to the roadway is considered being on the right of way. Now if you want to ride the mower to the store and get a gallon of milk then the answer is no. As a side note I will throw in that if you are drunk and driving a lawnmower, in your yard or going down the street then you are considered DUI and can be arrested. I’ve never heard of anyone being arrested for being drunk and mowing their yard, but sooner or later strange things do happen. PS this is for Illinois USA.

Can you drive dirt bikes on the road in Massachusetts?

I'm 15 (almost 16) and I'm 5'4" and weigh 130-135. I'm looking to get a dirt bike to drive. I know that if it's under a 50cc motor, you can drive them legally without a permit/license, but what are the specifics? I would just need it for city/suburb streets (around 20-40 mph).

I just want to know are there specifics to what you need to drive one in Massachusetts? (I won't be able to get my permit till I'm 16 but I want to start looking at cheap bikes now so I can save and know what to expect)

Any help would be Very Appreciated! :D
Thanks (:

PS, I will be wearing the right gear (helmet, jacket, long pants), I just need to know what's needed with the bike to make it legal to drive.

Can I ride a dirt bike on the steet in the US?

There are very few locations that will allow the use of a true dirt bike on the street. Right off hand, the area around the Hatfield and McCoy trail network is the only place I know of that do so.Now, if you want to talk about dual sport motorcycles, then it changes. Dual sports are by definition street legal, so the normal roles for motorcycles apply to dual sport motorcycles. There are some states that will allow a dirt bike to be converted to a dual sport. I know that Pennsylvania is one of them, as I have a KTM 520MXC (desert race motorcycle) registered as a dual sport. The laws will vary from state to state about what is required, and which motorcycles can be converted. For PA, the bike must have a headlight with high and low beam (including high beam indicator), brake light that operates from both brakes, speedometer, horn and at least one mirror. DOT rated tires are also a good idea.Of course, there is the paperwork that needs to be done as well. I had it easy, as the 520 was already registered in another state. All I had to do was transfer the title from Maryland to Pennsylvania, upgrade to PA requirements and get the inspection done. However, I do know that there is a process to get everything done from scratch in PA.Oh, by the way, if the motorcycle in question is a two stroke, you will be out of luck in most states, including Pennsylvania.

Mini bikes street rules in michigan?

First of all you're in the wrong section. If don't use a manual clutch an/or manually shift gears moped laws apply. If you do use a manual clutch and/or manually shift gears you have a motor driven cycle. This is a class between a moped and a motorcycle. The laws vary greatly for motorized two or three wheeled vehicles from state to state.

In Michigan a moped has to be registered and a moped license is required. The motorized bike you ask about doesn't have a horn, speedometer, mirrors or required lighting to be considered a moped. You could spend another $500+ to make it into one.

Since you don't want to obey traffic laws, you shouldn't be operating any kind of vehicle. Not even a bicycle. Take a motorcycle driving course before getting your mom to buy any kind of motorized bike.
