Can you assist your own goal in hockey?
I know what you mean. Like if you pass it to someone and they pass it back and then you score. I don't think that counts as an assist for you. But you got the goal, so I wouldn't be too upset. Good question!
I scored an own goal today. What should I do?
It looked something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egLDDbdX8... . This is the first time I score an own goal on myself. I am starting to think I am not fit to play soccer. I should just stick to basketball. People say I am a great basketball player and they compare me to Steve Nash but I want to play soccer because thats the sport I love but i am not as good at it as in basketball. I am going to have to pick one of them to join the school team next year ? So which one?
Can the goalie cover the puck outside the crease?
If a goalkeeper comes out of his crease to “cut down the angle” on a shot and after making the save covers the puck, this shall be legal. If the goalkeeper races out of his crease in an attempt to beat the attacking player to the puck and instead of playing the puck jumps on the puck causing a stoppage of play, this shall be a minor penalty for delay of game. A minor penalty shall be imposed on a goalkeeper who, when he is in his own goal crease, deliberately falls on or gathers the puck into his body or who holds or places the puck against any part of the goal in such a manner as to cause a stoppage of play unless he is actually being checked by an opponent. A goalkeeper shall not play the puck outside of the designated area behind the net. Should the goalkeeper play the puck outside of the designated area behind the goal line, a minor penalty for delay of game shall be imposed. The determining factor shall be the position of the puck. The minor penalty will not be assessed when a goalkeeper plays the puck while maintaining skate contact with his goal crease.

Before I started Watching Hockey, The Yzerman Goal. Since I have watched Hockey, I have to say Datsyuk in the Shoot-out against Minnesota in 2009. Beautiful Goal. :o) BQ: People on their Cell phones texting when your trying to talk to them. It is just rude! lol Edit: Oh i didnt realize you said "Own" Goal and didnt even know what It ment until I read Rusty's answer lol......I remember Lilja did it I THINK a couple of years ago maybe? And then the Famous Paul Coffey Goal. I Checked it out on youtube, and he literally stops before he shoots it in HIS OWN NET lol.
