Pain on the right side of the tailbone?

The pain is caused by pinched muscles in your back the same things responsible for degeneration disc disease.
You are experiencing pain from pinched muscles.
the right side is the side with the most pain to it so it is what you are going to feel at this time. When you release the worst of the pains you usually find where the next worst pains are by the new pains you feel.
To get rid of these pains you have to release your back muscles which is going to put your back into good shape for everything that you have. Here is how to release them:
Back: (do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but remain there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
Lower Back, Lumbar:
While sitting place your hands behind your body just above the buttocks and press in on the muscles next to the spine and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your self forward as far as you can. Then release the pressure but hold your body there for another 30 seconds. Move a few inches down and do it again and keep repeating until you reach the end of your tailbone.

Very painful cyst on tailbone...help?

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. The ER doc lanced it and all was better. Then a week later I found out that I was pregnant. I was very concerned about if it had affected the baby but everything was fine. There were no adverse affects from the minor surgery at all. They do it right there in the ER. Just have someone drive you there because you will not be able to drive home. Make sure you let the ER doc know that you are pregnant when you get there. It will be uncomfortable to sit for a while but after the cyst is out, you will feel so much better.

I have also heard of something called "Drawitol" not sure if it spelled it right. Anyway, it is a dark, tar like substance they sell over the counter. It stinks really bad and can take a long time to work but I had a friend tell me about it when I had my cyst. I could not stand the pain and went to the ER.

Hope this helps.

Bruised tailbone...ugh?

Hey ladies! Well, I'm 32 weeks and I sat down a bit too fast yesterday and bruised my tailbone, it feels like. I'm just wondering if I should even bother calling my doctor, since they don't do anything for bruised/broken tailbones besides tell you to take Tylenol and not sit ont it! lol. Any of you ever have bruised tailbones? Anything help with the pain?

Broken Tailbone?

On my last snowboarding run of the day my board slipped out from me on ice and I landed on my tailbone. I heard/felt something crack, but I guess it could've been like cracking your knuckles? It was excruciating at the time and my tail bone is still in alot of pain. its uncomfortable even when Im not sitting or moving. its painful to sit, stand, bend over, walk, etc... three hours after it and I already had dark purple bruising.

I was just wondering if there is any reason I should see a doctor? A friend of mine said she broke hers and she had to let time heal it. Its been 3 days and it hasn't felt any better, is the best thing to do is to just take it easy and let time heal it?

Why does my tailbone hurt..im on my period?

Have you ever had a bad fall on your tail-bone?
This happens to be too, and its been this way ever since i fell on my butt while snowboarding. I think the reason it hurts the worst while im on my period is just because of all the bloating and swelling that goes on during that time of my cycle and it aggravates my tail-bone.
I if you find that it only happens on your period, i can never find a comfortable way to sit either, what really helps me is a certain pain reliever. Look for just an over the counter one, like advil, but make sure it has the active ingredient of naproxen in it. This will help reduce the swelling and is also great for PMS cramps.
If the pain continues long after your period ends i would get check out by a doc.
hope this helps.

38 weeks pregnant and tailbone pain...?

Tailbone pain doesn't signify the start of labor. You could be heading towards labor soon, but the tailbone pain is most likely from the baby's positioning. Your other babies were more than likely in a different position. Spend a lot of time on your hands and knees. This will help baby find an optimal position and that will help you labor to go quicker and much easier with hopefully an avoidance of back labor. Your pelvis is relaxing and becoming more pliable in preparation for labor, so it is normal to feel some soreness. The cramping can be the uterus getting ready for labor, but true labor is going to have contractions coming with regularity, that do not go away with position changes, that increase in frequency and intensity. Then you will know you are in labor.

If you are worried about the tailbone pain, don't hesitate to speak with your care provider- that's what they are there for!

Tailbone hurts? Pain bearable but really annoying?

I was playing soccer and some girl hit my tailbone and it hurt just like yours I went to the doctor and the doctor said the pain I'm feeling is normal I just had a bruised tail bone and it takes long to heal because it does not have time to relax the nerve because your always moving if you go to the doctor they will give you a muscle relaxer to make your tail bone heal faster
