Can You Fold Interim Driver License

Am I able to fold my Interim Drivers License?

I got my license not to long ago and want to store it in my wallet until I get my legit one in the mail. Am I able to fold it? Or will that cause trouble with police etc when they ask to see it?

Can I drive a car alone with a temporary driver’s license?

A temporary license works the same way as a paper one, except it isn't good for identification. You can drive alone, but if you need to buy alcohol, get on a plane, or do something else that requires you to prove your identity, you will need to carry a photo ID.If you are under 18, your license is "provisional" for the first year, but that's the case whether it is a paper temporary license or a regular plastic one. See FFDL 19: Provisional Licensing for a description of the restrictions that apply. (I'm actually not sure if these restrictions apply if you already had a foreign license, or if they are only for previously unlicensed drivers.)

Will TSA permit airport entry with a temporary drivers license?

Here is what the TSA officially says on it’s website is an acceptable ID:Driver's licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)It goes on to add:In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete a form to include your name and current address, and may ask additional questions to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You may be subject to additional screening. So, based on this, a temporary driver’s licence, as long as officially issued by a government agency, with a photo included, should be acceptable. (Edit: see update below).Edit: The TSA has updated acceptable ID requirements as follows:Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, if you plan to use your state-issued ID or license to fly within the U.S., make sure it is REAL ID compliant. If you are not sure if your ID complies with REAL ID, check with your state department of motor vehicles. For information on REAL ID, please visit DHS frequently asked questions.Additionally, note the following two points:A weapon permit is not an acceptable form of identification.A temporary driver's license is not an acceptable form of identification.
