Can You Get Freckles Or Moles Down There

How do I get freckles?

A freckled complexion is one of the latest North American beauty trends, popularized by celebrities like Emma Stone, Emma Watson, and Julianne Moore. Some women have even gone to the lengths of having freckle-like marks tattooed on their faces. East Asian women may not be fond of this North American trend, however, being known to prefer clear, pale complexions. Whether you like them or not, freckles are a phenomenon that often sparks curiosity. Have you ever wondered what freckles are and what causes them? The answer lies in your genes.Skin color is determined by the amount of melanin in your skin; the more melanin you have, the darker your skin will be. Sometimes melanin can be more concentrated in certain skin cells, resulting in freckles. This explains why freckles darken upon exposure to UV rays from the sun. UV exposure causes certain skin cells to produce melanin, making skin (including freckles) appear darker. In the same way that you inherit your hair and eye color from your parents, you can inherit freckles. In fact, scientists have identified several genes that are known to cause freckles. One of the most well-known ones is called MC1R.¹ Sometimes this gene is referred to as the “red hair gene”, which explains why red hair and freckles often go hand in hand. It’s important to distinguish between freckles, sun spots, and moles. Freckles, also known as ephelides, first develop at about 2-3 years of age. Freckles sometimes fade with age, and can darken or lighten depending on sun exposure. Age spots, also known as lentigines, are seen much later in life, usually after 50 years of age. These spots are caused by accumulated sun exposure rather than genetic factors, and these spots don’t typically fade.¹ Moles are also caused by skin cells with higher concentrations of melanin; however, these spots tend to be permanent and don’t change throughout life.²Freckles, moles, and age spots aren’t inherent health concerns, but they should be monitored for abnormal changes. If you notice any suspicious changes in the border, colour, or size of a spot on your skin, seek the advice of a dermatologist.

Can you get freckles or moles DOWN THERE?

Yesterday I noticed that I have 2 dark brown/black spots DOWN THERE. They look like two small moles. I have moles and freckles all over my body, due to genetics. Could you get them down there? I am freaking myself out because I also took monistat last night and now everything is sore and sensitive down there, and of course I googled moles for the lower female areas and they popped up with vulva cancer.

One is right by the booty and one is on the skin right outside the lips inside the vagina. They are not raised and you cant even feel them, you can just see it if you put a mirror down there.

Any help please?

The other day I noticed I have about 4 freckles down there in my labia and right by my booty. Is this normal?? 3 are brown and 1 is black. They look like freckles but I have never seen them before. Freckles and moles are passed on from generation to generation according to the Mendelian laws of heredity (just like eye color, hair color, height etc)

What causes freckles on my arms?

Freckles appear on the skin as small tan or light brown spots. While they usually appear on the face, they can also be found on any skin exposed to the Sun, such as the neck and shoulders.Freckles are natural and not harmful. Even though some people with freckles don't like them and want to get rid of them, they're certainly not a sign of any health problems.Freckles are just skin cells that contain a pigment (color) called "melanin." Melanin is a chemical made by skin cells called "melanocytes." Melanin helps to protect the skin from the Sun's harmful ultraviolet rays by reflecting or absorbing them.Freckles are triggered by exposure to sunlight. The Sun's ultraviolet radiation causes melanocytes to make more melanin, which can cause freckles to appear or become darker. While anyone can have freckles, they are genetic. So if your parents have freckles, there's a good chance you will, too. People with fair complexions (skin and eyes that are light in color) tend to have more freckles than people with darker complexions. The melanin in your skin is what makes you look tan. The more melanin you have in your skin, the easier it is to get a tan.People with fair complexions have less melanin in their skin to start with. When sunlight causes their melanocytes to make more melanin, they often develop freckles instead of getting an even suntan like people with darker complexions. Some people have freckles that fade away in the winter and return every summer. Other people have freckles year-round. Freckles often tend to fade when people get older.
