Can You Get Inflammation On A Scanned Over Burn

What kind of doctor shall i see for the leg inflammation, ortho or neuro or some one else?

i have been undergoing kind of burning sensation and inflammation in my left leg muscles and on toe. i think it demand a CT or MRI scan if i am not wrong!. what kind of doctor shall i consult for the same? please share your valuable knowledge in this regard.

How do I treat a burn after the scab has come off? I've tried everything but after the scab comes off it looks pink and fleshy every time.

Your first mistake, if indeed you took the scab off, is that you took the scab off. As one person stated, the scab is nature's bandaid, so leave it alone. The latest way to treat a wound of any kind is to let it heal from the inside/ out. This method leaves less of a scar. The next time try the inside/out method. If you leave the scab on until it falls off, it will be less pinkish & you will be more satisfried. Think about this; it could be a lot worse. The skin could be yellow & green, and could be inflamed, then you really have a great big problem!! How big? Have you ever heard of Gangrene? Neverthless, a less serious case is still an inflamed burn as a 3rd, 2nd, or 1st degree burn which are catagorized in seriousness respectively as such. You probably needn't worry so much about a 3rd degree burn infection, but as the degree moves up the scale, the potential danger also increases. What is evident at 1st is redness & slight swelling. By this time you should head to your doc & receive a regimen of antibiotics. If you neglect seeing a physician & the burn continues to fester then a more serious circumstance occures. Your skin begins to blister then just as quickly a puss-like liquid inside the blister sets in.at - in Resources and Information. This time you have No choice except to get to your doctor ASAP, or the gangrene I was speaking of will be very likely. If the injury is on a limb, then that limb may eventually need amputation. All of this said, the pink area proves you have fortunately avoided the more dangerous scenarios & that pinkish patch will darken a bit & not look quite so noticeable. Please, do Not disturb! Take Care & Stay Safe, Dapper Dan

Can burning nerve pain continue in a leg after a MRI scan shows that the disc protrusion has healed?

Assuming the MRI indicating "healing" shows disk retraction and no disk fragments still contacting the nerve root, the answer is yes, pain can still persist from nerve root damage that occurred while the L5 roots were "pinched." If the roots were significantly injured, inflammation and scarring may prevent proper function from returning. In addition to pain, numbness, paresthesias and loss of muscle bulk and strength are all pointers towards significant nerve root injury. Other possible issues include concomitant foraminal stenosis or re-fragmentation of the disk with disk fragments causing continued problems. If previous surgery was performed, other issues may also lead to persistent nerve irritation.

Can drinking water help clear a UTI? (Urinary Tract Infection)?

Definition

A urinary tract infection, or UTI, is an infection that can happen anywhere along the urinary tract. The urinary tract includes the:

Bladder
Kidneys
Ureters -- the tubes that take urine from each kidney to the bladder
Urethra -- the tube that empties urine from the bladder to the outside

The following risk factors increase your chances of getting a UTI:

Bowel incontinence
Catheterization
Kidney stones
Immobility (for example, during recovery from a hip fracture)
Menopause
Narrowed urethra
Not drinking enough fluids
Pregnancy
Prostate inflammation or enlargement
Sexual intercourse, especially if you have multiple partners
Using a diaphragm for birth control

Prevention

Do NOT douche or use similar feminine hygiene products.
Do NOT drink fluids that irritate the bladder, like alcohol and caffeine.
Drink cranberry juice or use cranberry tablets, but NOT if you have a personal or family history of kidney stones.
Drink plenty of fluids.
Keep your genital area clean.
Urinate after sexual intercourse.
Wear cloth undergarments.
Wipe from front to back.

Good luck.

Urinary Tract Infection...white discharge?

A couple of weeks ago I went to the clinic to get my urine tested because I had been having symptoms of a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), it burned occasionally when I would pee, and sometimes my penis would even burn when I wasn't using the bathroom. Another main thing I noticed was I had some type of white discharge...it would sometimes come out after I peed, and sometimes when I wasn't using the bathroom...

I'm 16, I have never had sex. The person who checked me out the day at the clinic said they did NOT detect that I had a urinary tract infection based on the urine sample they took. She asked me if I had ever had sex, and I said no. She wanted to stick a q-tip in my penis to swab so she could check for an STD, but since I was being honest with her, I saw no need to do it. Can STDs be transmitted even if I haven't had sex? They subscribed antibiotics for me and I had just recently finished taking them, and during this time...none of this was happening. but now that I've stopped taking it, JUST now, I was using the bathroom and I had some of the discharge again. It burned a LITTLE bit...but not much. Why is this? I don't understand. Bladder infection? Kidneys? What could this be?

Can using undiluted savlon ( antiseptic liquid ) on skin cause burns ?

Yes…don't ever use undiluted savlon . savlon and dettol in diluted form at used only for cleaning the area and the region should be again cleaned by sterile water after that ideally. When savlon is left on normal or abraded skin it will cause irritant contact dermatitis. Salon and dettol liquid and soap are biggest fraud in this world. They have no use except cleaningn the area before surgery. In home you ate not doing any surgery, so better clean it with STERILE water( normal saline) and take oral antibiotics like basic or apply topical antibiotic like soframycin depending on the type of injury that's good enough. No need to waste money on antibiotic soap like dettol and dettol lotion. They infact can even cause allergic contact dermatitis and antibiotic resistance , if used indiscrimately. If something kills bacteria, sooner or later the bacteria will be resistant to it. If killing bacteria was so easy then all these high cost antibiotics in hospital are not needed at all.
