Can You Get Two Business Visas At A Time For The Same Country

Can you have two visas at the same time, like a tourist and student visa?

Others keep answering ‘No’ but, at least for the US, the answer is ‘Yes.’For a single example, a young person qualifies for and is issued a tourist visa valid for multiple entries for ten years. If, at some time later, that person decides to study for a year or for an entire degree - say, four years - he can apply for a student visa. The tourist visa remains valid until its original expiration date. Before or after the studies are completed, the person can continue to enter the US as a simple tourist using that same tourist visa, as long as that is his purpose for that particular visit. He could even do that if, for some reason such as a family emergency, he had to suspend his studies and travel back and forth a few times solely to tend to that emergency. Then, if the student visa was still valid, he could return as a student with a freshly endorsed I-20 form and get back to work. There are many, many other reasons and ways that a person could have multiple US visas of different types, as well. On arrival, he simply has to present the visa corresponding to the purpose of that particular visit.

Can I have two US visas - tourist and H2B?

You can have a U.S. visa on every page of your passport if you qualify. However, you have to remember that a visa is merely a document which is used to apply for admission, and nothing more. Possession of a visa does not guarantee admission. The validity period of a visa has nothing to do with how long you can stay.

The type of visa you will need is based on the purpose of your travel. If you want to enter the U.S. for pleasure or business, you can use the B-1/B-2 visa.

If an employer petitioned for you, you could apply for an H-2B visa based upon the approved petition. You could use the H-2B visa to enter the U.S. to work for the petitioner. The visa, placed in your passport when issued, allows you to travel to a U.S. port-of-entry (airport, for example) and request permission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection immigration officer to enter the U.S.

It is acceptable to have two or more visas in different classifications at the same time.

Multiple-entry business visit to Indonesia?

Hello

I have business I need to do in Indonesia for 2 weeks. I have already acquired Multiple-Entry Business VISA for this purpose (that is what I know ; in VISA type I see 312 / 365 days and payed the fee for multiple-entry).

However, I need to go back to my country over the weekend. So I go to Indonesia for a week, go back to my country during the weekend, then go back again to Indonesia after the weekend vacation. My question is, will I or will I not encounter problems with immigration? I understand that Indonesia has various laws pertaining to foreigners coming into the country.

If possible, I would like a person knowledgeable in Indonesian travel policies to answer, since I am not sure if it is as simple as it looks.

Thanks!

Can one apply for two visas to the U.S. at the same time?

Yes. Yak is right. In applying for an immigrant visa (one presumes through a US Citizen spouse), she has demonstrated an intent to live in the USA. If she has her own ties to another country, she'll also be eligible for a tourist visa. One does not exclude the other. It all depends on the ties to another country that she can demonstrate. Inadequate ties to the PRC or Korea won't get her a tourist visa, even though she'll probably get an immigrant visa.

Suggestion- don't use the tourist visa as a way to expedite her immigration.

Would it be hard to find a job in another country?

Here is how to get a job in a foreign country

1) Outline your expectations for your overseas job. Decide how long you want to work for, what countries you would consider working in and whether you want to work in your current profession or try something different. All of these factors will affect what kind of visa you apply for and the type of job you will look for.

2) Research the different visa options for foreign workers in each country you are interested in. If your current company has an office in another country, speak to HR about a potential transfer. You must either obtain a visa that allows you to work legally in a country before you can proceed or find a company to sponsor your migration to another country with the intention of working.

3) Decide on the country in which you want to work and shortlist the visas you will be eligible for. You do not have to necessarily find a job before you move but this will depend on the type of work visa you are applying for. If the visa you will apply for requires you to find a job first, you must begin the job search process.

4) Look for job openings in foreign countries online via job search engines or company position listings or contact recruiters who specialize in international hiring. Prepare your resume and submit it to the recruiters or apply for jobs you are interested in. If the jobs that interest you require you to get a visa first, contact the immigration office of the country you want to move to and apply for the necessary visa by following the application procedure the country requires.

5) Wait for responses to your job applications. You may be required to participate in phone interviews or travel to the country to be interviewed in person. Once you receive a job offer or your visa application is accepted, you can prepare to move to the foreign country.
