Can You Give Me Advice Skin

Can you give me advice with makeup?

*For a vintage-y makeover to go with your clothing style:
I would suggest using foundation ONLY to cover zits. Olive is a beautiful skin tone and can be used to your advantage when played up and contrasted with the right plush and eye shadow.
Try using a darker shade of pale pink (often described as "wine"), on the highest parts of your cheekbones. Then, lightly dust golden eyeshadow across your lids. Make sure not to use too much. For lip stick or lip gloss, I suggest a shimmery natural shade. As for eyeliner, liquid or pencil will work fine. I suggest a brown on the top lids and half of the bottom. Use length defining mascara. This will give you that vintage look, while still looking natural.

*For venturing edgy...
Try blush with more of an orang-ish pink tint. Use light pink lip gloss and, if you're really feeling daring, use some light green eyeshadow. Then line your eyes with black liquid eyeliner and use volume-defining mascara.

What advice would you give someone who is ashamed and embarrassed to be black or a person of color?

One time quite a few years ago I was among a group of people, two of whom were black and 4 who were white. One of the black guy, a really really neat guy who we all liked a lot, began talking about how he hated being black and that he wished he could rip his skin off and be white. After a minute or so, we began to interrupt him and tell him, THRUTHFULLY how important he and his friendship was to us.All 4 of us were of the same mindset and etc about things like this and really liked him a lot.We touched hum and held him and spoke WITH him about this.We were sitting around a house where we had gone to smoke some Acapulco gold.We had not yet rolled anything before this convo began so we just all got into it with him~Johnny. He was a really good looking guy about 6′ and in shape. All of us really felt bad for him and legitimately cared about him.As we sat around and talked, we rolled a cople of joints and hit up.This loosened the mood and we spent about 4–5 hours just sitting talking and enjoying each othjers’ company.By the time we were ready to leave, Johnny felt a lot better and felt that he was worth somthing.I learned from this that it is absolutely important to have someone who legitimately cares about you. This little bunch of us remained close friends till we moved away in different directions.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to learn on how to make their own skin care? (lotions, soaps, scrubs, etc.)

Healthy skin first and foremost needs to be clean skin. So the first task is to learn how to make soap. Once you know how to make soap, then you need to realize that while all healthy skin needs to be clean, it also need to not become excessively dried out from repeated cleansing. So secondly you need to study how the skin is hydrated, and there are two sources of hydration: external and internal. We can put moisturizers on the top of our skin hoping that they will move down into the skin and moisturize it. The second method, and the much more effective method, is to pull the moisture from beneath the skin upward to the surface allowing to moisturize as it move up to the surface. So now you need to study the mechanisms in a biology class which will explain how moisture moves down into the skin from above and how moisture moves up into the skin layers from below. This would be a good start.
