Can You Give Me Your Opinion On What Type Of Car Meets This Description

I think my boyfriend loves his car more than me?

Well... I love my car... But its true he should put you first and foremost... But its his hobbie and is something that makes him happy so I suppose you should be supportive. There should be some sort of compromise, he should be able to enjoy his hobby but at the same time have time and money to make you happy... I mean he doesnt have to please the car, its not going anywhere... As for you, you require attention, affection, love etc... to stick around... Just sit him down and have a real conversation about the whole issue and how you feel and what could be done to change things without ruining his hobby... Just my thoughts on the matter.

Can a cop give you a reckless driving ticket just because he hears your tires squeal? (Virginia)?

Yes, according to Virginia driving laws if a police officer hears your tires spin excessively they may issue the driver a ticket for "Reckless Driving".

I found a website with a lengthy description of various types of "reckless driving" and the ramifications of actually getting charged with reckless driving". This charge takes away 6-points on your license and can also lead to time in jail and $2,500 dollar fine.

Here is the website:

Get a lawyer to fight this charge, I would if it were me. Your friend shoiuld state their case in court but never, ever, ever accuse the cop of any wrong doing. Just provide the judge the facts of the case and leave it to him/her to come up with a decision.

What car will give me the most respect in society?

Many years ago I knew a guy in the UK that had made a fortune during the 70s selling women’s clothing. He was worth tens of millions of pounds. His daily driver? A Toyota Corolla. He could have had any car on the planet. He lived in a huge country estate just outside Oxford, filled with antiques and art, but chose to drive a reliable, little sedan. Why? Because that was all he wanted. Anything more was just a public display of wealth. That Corolla earned him a huge amount of respect in my eyes.In fact, I’d argue that NOT spending money on a car when you can afford to would be the ONLY way to earn respect. You’re probably referring to envy, or jealousy - neither of which should be chased (if you ask me…).

Does a self-driving car meet the definition of consciousness?

Consciousness is a very debatable term in science and as well as religion. What defines human consciousness is very subjective to human experience. It just might be the fact that we all think we are conscious, but in fact its just a part of one of the activities that we do like eating.Well there are several theories in science that try to explain what is consciousness. One of them is Global Workspace theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glo...) or there is a cognitive architecture named LIDA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LID... which makes use of consciousness).Well the central point many of these theories make is that, if you can read contents of your mind, i.e. if a program can read the values of its variables at any time and other programs also can do that, then these programs are said to be conscious as per the definition of consciousness. Well do they "experience" the same "feeling" about consciousness? thts debatable. But for all such program in the system they do have "same" notion of consciousness w.r.t. each other as we all humans do.If you are more interested in this topic, and find out some real work going on, check Cognitive Architectures and consciousness in Google Search.

Did my boyfriend disrespect me? Or am I overreacting? He said he was only joking, but I feel hurt?

Earlier today, I asked my boyfriend, B, if he had any plans tonight, and he told me to come over because his brother was visiting from out of town and he wanted me to meet him.

When I got to B's place, he asked if we could take my car to pick up his brother and friend when they arrived. (B has been having problems with his car since a car accident we were in together.)

We picked up his brother and friend, and took them back to B's place. But before we picked them up, B asked me if I could sit in the back of MY car. I guess he wanted his brother to sit up front with him. After I gave B a warning look, he said he was sorry and joking with me. Maybe he was, but it was still rude to ask, in my opinion.

After we picked up B's brother and friend and came back to B's place, B told me, "Thanks for letting us use your car. You can go home now." His brother looked at him and then at me to see if I would get mad, so again I gave B a warning look. Then he hugged me and said he was joking while his brother and friend laughed. But I still felt so disrespected!

They ended up hanging out without me, which was okay with me in the first place because they all spoke a language I didn't understand. Once in a while they would speak English, but I didn't want to intrude on their guy time.

I just don't understand why my boyfriend would want me to meet them, but "jokingly" tell me I could go home. I didn't intend to stay long, and I didn't want to feel left out or like I was intruding. So I ended up just playing video games with B's roommate while the rest of them hung out.

Do you think I have the right to be offended? B did ask me to meet his brother and to use my car, after all. If he didn't want me there, he could have said, "Let's hang out another night because my brother, friend, and I already have plans." He knows I don't have a problem with him going out without me. But then when I joined them, I felt like he was picking on me in front of them. Am I being too sensitive or was he acting like a jerk?

You know how some men buy really expensive cars to make up for certain... SHORTAGES?

so does that mean you can still teach me how to drive stick?
